Re: The Sticks Awards 466-470
You have the titles switched for 466 and 470.
I agree that Haley's just too awesome in 470, but the runner-up for me would have to be 468, for the start of Kazumi and Daigo's relationship.Time travels in divers paces with divers persons.

469
Not much compared to the previous batch, but that was a high standard.

I'll go for 466. Xykon and Redcloak fights are always good material, plus Xykon's punch line made me laugh a lot.

Re: The Sticks Awards 466-470
467. I'm a fan of the character traits on display -- and so many of them! From Haley's tough-but-fair "know how to play 'em," Hinjo's reluctant concession to his title above his desire for vengeance, to Daigo's polite interpretation of events, to Belkar's... Belkar.

Re: The Sticks Awards 466-470
I dunno, I think this was another strong batch, good stuff in each of the strips.
470 is a bit too one-trick for me (though enjoyable), 468 is endearing, 469 is unexpected and funny, 466 is good in how Redcloak makes up a valid excuse to stay in AC. But I vote the strip peppered with Belkar quips, where all the characters get their say, where Hinjo realises he's more than a one-vision paladin:
467That Belkar. As stubborn as he is stone cold sexy.
Still a Belkar fan.

Re: The Sticks Awards 466-470
Well, there's me thinking I was set to buck the trend, when the last two voters beat me to it. (Edit: Last three voters.)
From Haley's 'know when to run' quote, through Hinjo's sudden maturity spurt when he realised being a leader was so much more than waving a sword around, Elan's 'doodoo-head Kubota' quote (just about the closest he can come to swearing), and topped off with Belkar's 'Insult of Opportunity' quip.
It has to be 467 for me.
Have Fun!

Re: The Sticks Awards 466-470
Hehe... nice bunch of strips ^^
Most are very awesome... but I think I'll go for 469, it has a lot of good lines, though it's sadly the end of Skullsy...

Re: The Sticks Awards 466-470
Okay, is there any reason voting was lower than normal on this one? We didn't even reach the second page.
This thread was buried for a while because of some recent deluges, but I didn't think it was that long.
If there are no more votes 470 appears to be our winner, having only 12 votes but being the only strip with more than 5. In any other hundred it would probably be a BotQ favorite.
472 is probably the early favorite in the next round, though all the others have their merits as well, with 473 and 475 being the most likely to challenge it. Could be another simulated clusterbleep that isn't, like this one. Even counting the votes I thought this was a complete clusterbleep, until I saw just how far ahead 470 was pulling.Last edited by Morgan Wick; 2008-06-08 at 10:45 PM. Reason: no more votes after 1 hour, so going ahead with analysis
