Excalith and Waetir easily brush aside the mental powers.
Excalith's charge slams into the larger, center Aboleth crushing it into an airborne pulp. It flies out of the water beaching itself behind the line of Skum with a dull wet whump. The mucusy slime covering it splattering the water.

Everybody get out of the way! Incoming blast into the water from me!" Celeste mentally alerts her allies. Her hand cackles with energy as she hurls a ball of electricity into the area where she thinks she can hit the most enemies.

Sophiel waited until her comrades had made their move, and as the electricity ran its course through the water, she smiled.
Her wings kicked up a torrent of wind as she flew across the room, dragging her glaive along the surface of the lake and leaving a tall trail of water splashing up into the air.
Another splash came up from the lake as she hurled herself into the air and ontop of the Aboleth's body, planting her bare feet firmly in its flesh as she spun her glaive around so its blade faced the ground.
Bending her knees, the celestial jumped up in air a few feet, paused for a moment, and kicked her legs up infront of her as she brought the glaive down towards the beast's spine.

Sophiel slams into one of the remaining Aboleths, it screams in pain the polearm piercing its flesh. Greenish black ichor spills from the wound.
The rearmost Aboleth turns and dives deep into the water, fleeing the battle.
[A4 moves 120ft down and away from the battle. You all lose visibility of it after the first 40 ft.]
With only Celeste visible on the beach 9 of the Skum rush her. Many bite at her, some attempt to grab her. [Celeste and Waetir both get AoO's as some move through threatened squares.]

The rest of the skum dive back into the water rushing Sophiel and Excalith in an attempt to protect their masters. Jaws snapping like viscious turtles. They cannot approach Sophiel but batter against her aura.

The celestial grabbed ahold of one of the tentacles lashing out to hit her, its putrid venom burning into the flesh of her palm as she swatted away the other tentacles with her glaive.
Wrestling free of the beast's grip, The celestial began swung her fearsome glaive about like a bat upon the monstrosity's spine, then dropped it down upon its flesh as she would wield an axe, arching her wings out to maintain her hover over it.

I forgot to mention before, because of the aura- Sophiel and anyone nearby is immune to mind-control... Not that it was needed, but still. AND she and anyone nearby has a +4 bonus to saving throws vs. Evil creatures. Yeesh, I can't even remember my own character's abilities. :P

Waetir lashes out at the Skum as it passes nearby him, it freezes and falls over. Twin blue bolts fly from his hands and strike the Aboleth under Sophiel's feet. The rime of frost crackles under her as she feels the death shudder of the great beast.

Reaching out with his gigantic fists Excalith attempts to pound into the Skum that so foolhardily approached him, but the little creature manages to evade his huge fists through much luck.
Like I said before... poison the water. Excalith merely hoots as he hovers above the lake and again pushes his forth his hands, letting streamers of red descend upon the lake beneath him, each stream seeming to flicker and flash as it tore into the flesh of the creatures. After doing this, Excalith glides nonchalently through the air and past the Skum struggling in the lake, not even caring as they swipe at him as he approached another one of their master's.

Once again, vortex of teeth on the lake. He autosuceeds the concentration check for no AOO. It can cover all the non dead combatants in the lake (except him because he is flying above it), and it reaches 20 feet down. The deadspot is basically in the middle between the top Aboleth and the bottom left Aboleth.

And then he moves into 15ft range of the bottom left aboleth, not caring that he provokes AOO from the skum as he does so. (10 feet to the left basically)

Crushing one of the Skum Excalith summons a magical school of pirhanna.
This school of pirhanna makes swift chum of the remaining Skum, their death screams piercing the air. The blood of the Skum staining the water a dark green.

ooc - Celeste is flying 40 feet in the air. Are the Skum flying up to try to bite me and grapple her or something? In any case, they all missed because Celeste has a Touch AC of 24 and regular AC of 43.

Laughing as she prepares to launch another ball of lightning, Celeste says,"Those fish demons really screwed up your minds pretty badly eh? No way you'd be this suicidal otherwise. Watch out below!" With that, she lobs the ball of lightning, trying not to hit Waetir.

Celeste's lightning ball blasts the last few Skum into twitching corpses.
The waters are still for a moment. The last Aboleth beyond your sight in the darkness.

Waetir growls, the sound bubbling from his throat oddly. "We promised to remove these things, in Lord Trual's name!"
Inivisible, the elemental draws upon his lord's might and gestures, pillars of icy flames appearing in random spots in the water.

Unless stopped, for the next minute Waetir will start casting his flame strike into the water. Forty feet column, ten foot radius. x10 times means a roughly two hundred foot diameter in the local water of damage, hitting everything in the first forty feet of depth. Starting at the location the Aboleth disappeared.

We don't even need to do that for all of us, have you forgotten that many of us can teleport? I can easily hold my breath, and simply come back to the surface with that if I need to do so. Still, we have killed three of them, four if we include the youngling, and scared off the rest. Is this proof enough to the kobolds or do they want more? Excalith growls as he prowls over the water, sweeping back and forth as if waiting for the water to stir.
Sophiel looked about, breathing out through her nostrils as she boredly scanned the empty lake as her comrades obliterated everything within.
The celestial arched her wings towards the ceiling of the cavern, diving into the murky depths with a loud splash.
Beneath the surface, Sophiel was not of her angelic form, but that of a mermaid's. She retained the same appearance, but had a long tail extending from her waist. The angel looked about as her ashen hair floated all around her in the water. She put her glaive underneath her armpit and formed a fist with her wounded hand, divine energies mending the small burn upon her palm.

Sophie's very inexperienced with the prime material, but if I recall, Devas are known to be somewhat well-versed in the natural world. You can rule that she simply doesn't know what a Merfolk is. I guess I'll not do anything in that case.

As Sophiel swins about in the dark waters she notices a few things. The first is that the water is warm, almost tropical seas warm.
The next is that the drop off into the deeper part of the Undersea is very steep. The shelf of the beach only extends forty to fifty feet out before and almost sheer drop.
There seems to be a glittering light coming from very deep within the Undersea, obviously hundreds of feet deep and almost a mile away.
Lastly is the fact that the dead Aboleth are wearing an assortment of jewelry, on their tentacles.
