There is a sense of... 'something' here...
Xex-citta are found to be anywhere creatures dream. They are only found outside of the unwaking world when they enter a dream and are accidentally brought with the dreamer if he is unexpectedly awakened. Xex-citta seem to find everything fascinating and are whimsical, unpredictable creatures at best.
Xex-citta are phantasmagorical mental energy in a state that should not be possible outside of dream, only seeming to exist because they believe they do, and this belief becomes real. They are invisible normally, but if seen in their true form appear even then appear as a moving displacement in the background, often taking the vague shape and coloration of beings those nearby think about before reverting back to their normal shape.
Xex-citta are far more prone to strategy in their combat than their other brethren, though still tend to use cover of their incorporeality, using their mindsight to keep track of their opponent. Often an attack will spark a darker side to the xex-citta, who are frequently exposed to nightmares in their realm, and they'll turn on their attacker with a vengeance.
If a xex-citta is reduced to 0 hit points, its body is instantaneously destroyed in a forceless explosion. Thinking, living creatures within 20 feet however are dizzied as the mental shockwave passes through. They find they cannot sleep for 24 hours, during which time they may not regain spell slots or psionic power points. Sleeping spells and abilities still function, but the target gains no rest from them.
An xex-citta is harmed only by other incorporeal creatures, magic weapons, powers, spells, spell-like abilities, and supernatural abilities. It has a 50% chance to ignore any damage from a corporeal source, except for force effects or attacks made with ghost touch weapons. It can pass through solid objects, but not force effects, at will. Its attacks ignore natural armor, armor, and shields, but deflection bonuses and force effects work normally against them. An incorporeal creature always moves silently and cannot be heard with Listen checks if it doesn’t wish to be.
Natural Invisibility (Su):
This ability is constant, allowing a xex-citta to remain invisible even when attacking. This ability is inherent and not subject to the invisibility purge spell.
A xex-citta can recieve telepathic communication from with any creature within 90 feet that has an Intelligence score. No common language is needed. The xex-citta does not respond in kind.
Thought Ray (Ex):
A xex-citta can shoot a ray of pure mental energy at a living, thinking target within 30 feet.
