Default Animating the comic

Hey guys. I was just wondering, how would copyright work if I wanted to make a fanwork of a really cool comic (I'm sure you know which I'm talking of). Is this kind of thing allowed, or will it be booed off the stage, so to speak?

Well, there are some rules. For example, normaly it's allowed as long as you don't make any money from it, however some companies don't aprove of having it posted on the internet.

Well, If you used art from the comics, I think that's kinda frowned upon. However, if you draw it personally, I believe it constitutes "FanArt". That's how I understand it.

Like other person said, I don't think it matters so long as it isn't copied straight from the comic and it isn't making you money.

I've always wanted to do this as well. Are you doing the actual comic or your own storyline?
