Ongoing Games (In-Character)Play-by-post games are going on in this forum as we speak (well, read). All threads on this board are actual games, so please, only post on a thread if you are a player of that game.
The city guards move to let you past as you walk twards the gate, and before you, you recognise the familiar streaching plains. Several travelers walk along the road, going to and from Izvor. Up ahead, the road parts in three other dirctions, each leading to a separate area, shown by a signpost up ahead. You recognise most of the names being towns.
North: Felis; and Gyreng Port
South East: To Mengde; Byrus, Rijecka River, Valjanost Mountains, Brittus Mines
South West: Odow; Dsenga
The road before you is dirty, but seems to have been traveled a lot. Deep tire rut show lots of heavy loads traveled this way.

TIME LAPSE!!
After quite a bit of a walk, you see in the distance a large quarry field, part of the Brittus mines. You recognise this as the suggested spot on your map to turn off of the man road.
You follow the map twards your destination, which is at the bottom of a small cliff, about 15 feet down. At the bottom of whitch, you can see a rocky terrain. Were it a wetter season, water would be flowing very quickly down here, however, as it is, there is only a small trickle. You recognise one large, dull grey stone with a bowl carved out of the top, as your destination.

Sorry guys, I'm having a really bad spelling day... Anyway, the cliff is rough unworked stone. There's a small, weak looking tree nearby that a rope could be tied too. Rocks at the bottom add 1d3 to any falling gamage.
"Simple. We can lower him down using a rope. The 2 of us should be able to handle his weight." Brand smiles. "Now, if you don't have any rope of your own, we'll have to use the rope that's already been tied here."

The wolf is safely lowered to the ground, but the rope you are using begins to fray, however, not beyond use. Once at the bottom, Angelo begins barking wildly up at Lorria.
Spoiler
Everyone but Lorria and Brand safely decends, only because they havn't made chacks yet.
True, but she was secured with much more weight on one portion, and was not as contolled going down as a human. There's no actual modifier yet, but when strenuous stuff happens to ropes, their is more of a use rope penalty.
Brand sighs exasperatedly at the wolf's noise. He casts ghost sound, making soothing nature noises. He then ties the rope back onto the branch and rappels down the cliff face.

Really, can't I take 10 on this? I mean, cmon, this is a DC 5. But if you insist, (1d20+1)[2]
Wow. Natural 1. What sheer irony.

Lowering herself down the rope, when she reaches the bottom (Unharmed or not) Lorria moves to Angelo and quietly rubs his muzzle, attempting to quiet him.
"Shush Angelo, we need you to be quiet for now or else it'll be worse than necessary."
Once that's done, Lorria draws her equipment and keeps an eye and ear out for anything of interest or danger.

You make it to the bottom, with the exception of Brand, who was swinging rather helplessly against the cliff for a moment before decending, and Angelo quiets down. Lorria notices a small family of snakes maving between some of the rocks. The amulets given to you by Segith begin to warm, the closer you draw to the bowled boulder.
At your touch, the stone seemingly falls apart, into sand. Andarius begins to feel the same thing happen to him, but the amulet around his neck keeps him in tact. Below where the rock was, lies a gaping hole in the earth, the sides smooth and carefully crafted.
Alarmed at the feeling, Andarius starts and then realizes he is safe. For the moment. "Blast, looks like I'm stuck with this then," he says with a grimace, "Shall we proceed?"

When the boulder dissolves, Leigh raises his eyebrows, clearly impressed. He dons his amulet and steps after Brand. His hands move to his whip, a reinforced pocket in his cloak, and finally his bow, but in the end he lets them hang at his sides, empty.

The biggest problem with the alignment system is that it encourages us to choose.
Lorria spots a small iron ladder, worked into the wall. It is heavily rusted, but appears to be stable. The shaft, as you can see, goes down about 50 feet, then stops, leading into a large room.
As Andarius decends the ladder, sand falls from the sides. Some light from above shines into the room at the bottom. The floor is made of uneven stones with large gaps between. Six doors made of firm wood are located around the room, and one pathway leads into the distance. The room is very large, but is too dark to make out any details.

Okay! Anyone have pointers on how to do dungeons? I have it all mapped out, but I'm not sure how to get it on the boards. Also, it seems as if the good group has lost interest. so do you guys want to continue as the only surviving group?
