Default [4e] Coin Dragon (PEACH)

Inspired by this thread, what do you think?

Coin Dragon
Coin Dragons are created to protect vast hordes of treasure. Or rather, they are created so vast hordes can protect themselves. Originally created by an ancient and clever Red dragon, so he could go out (in search for more treasure) without worrying about some conniving adventurer stealing anything. They have since evolved, and coin dragons without an owner become fearsome dragons in their own right.

Coin Dragon Lore
A character knows the following information about coin dragons with a successful Arcana or Dungeoneering check.
DC 15: Coin dragons were created to protect the hordes they were made from, using the treasure as a weapon. They remain dormant, appearing as a pile of treasure, until disturbed.
DC 20: Coin dragons can usually be found in some remote hideaway or deep within an ancient ruin, remnants or an older empire or elder wyrm. They spew coins from their maw in a bludgeoning breath.
DC 25: By absorbing coins and items, these dragons can heal themselves. They even take on the properties of the magic they have consumed.

Coin Dragon Tactics
Preferring to surprise intruders, coin dragons will lie still, looking like nothing more than an unguarded pile of treasure, until their prey has come within their reach. A coin dragon will typically open with with frightful presence, and then spend an action point to bite a stunned foe with a weapon. On the next round it will attempt to absorb the dropped item it it's still unattended, and spend it's other action point to catch as many enemies as possibly with it's breath weapon. It will then use draconic greed, switching it with bite if absorption could be used (and for OAs).
More powerful coin dragons will use treasure's promise as much as possible before attacking, in hopes of gaining control of minions for the fight (which will then surrender their items without a fight once everyone else is taken care of).

DM Note: A coin dragon is it's own treasure. All the coins and items used to make it in the Living Horde ritual spill into a pile upon the coin dragon's death, and are retrievable. This includes any items it has absorbed.

This is very well done, including the ritual.

Thanks!

Anyone else have anything? I figured it could be especially fun to mix and match now that Adventurer's Vault is out.

Fun.

One question, though: Are magic items gone when absorbed?
Or are they retrievable after it dies?

The items are retrievable, as are all the coins and items used to create the coin dragon. The dragon is basically it's own treasure. I'll update that, nice catch.
