Message Boards Slowing Down

It may just be me, but the boards are loading WAY slow. In fact, the whole website is. My internet is fine, and other sites load at normal speeds. I'm using Safari on a Macintosh, but I've neveer had this problem before, and I've beem using Safari for months.

Is it just another bandwidth upgrade, or what? AS I said, it COULD just be me, but I don't think so.

EDIT: It just sped up now. That's the second time today that there's been a lurch.

the message boards run very fat. They use up alot of server resources. When the comic is late, people obsessively check the boards and the strip over and over again. The increased load slows everything down. Nothing to be concerned about.

I'm fairly sure that is a typo, but how does something run "fat"?

Yeah, I've been having the same problem, but I used dial up for 4 years. I learend how to be patient. Still, that noise sends shivers up my spine. And besides, I did figure that it had something to do with the ravenous checking of the site and boards to see if it was something wrong.

Fat, bloated. Not trim and lean. uses up more resources than it needs.
