If you want to use your own avatar, find a host site(I use photobucket for my images elsewhere), and upload the picture there. From there, you will see the URL right underneath the picture, and you just put it in the appropriate place.

Right click - Properties
Be aware, though, that Rich is very protective (as he should be) of his stuff being used elsewhere without permission. So if your plan is to link the avatar you use here somewhere else, my advice would be simple - don't. ;)
