Hey, I'm a younger sibling, youngest of three actually, some of us are cool!

I hate Bratz and High School Musical(in fact most stuff disney has churned out in the last two years or so).

I know what you mean. Not that much about Barbies or those other franchises were good anyway. With Barbies, girls are all expected to have a body that can't even fit their inner organs.

I've seen it, and I loved it.

But I've never done the tradition thing. Besides, I'd have no one to watch it with...

So are older siblings. And siblings of the same age. And, well, I could keep this going for a while but I can't be bothered so I'll just cut to the chase and say people.
Hmm... For a 'cut to the chase', that was a rather long sentence. Since brevity is the soul of wit...

I'm going to Scarborough tomorrow. Maybe I should pack.

Um, thanks, I think.

And yeah, barbies are RIDICULOUSLY thin, as are Bratz. Reality check here:

Since when did it become acceptable for little girls to be catty and gossipy and mean? Yeah. That's right. That's why I had no friends when I was a kid.

No, really.

It's stupid.
EXACTLY!
And, to my great shame, I've seen an episode of Bratz. They're all fashion mad, mindless dolts who care about the following things:
1) Boys.
2) Shopping!
3) BOYS AND SHOPPING!!
Even Barbie is better than that because she used to be a nice doll; before the whole fifty million films a year thing, and at first the films were adequate.
Not that I watched them, but the plots were moderately intelligent if a bit cliched. But still stereotyped.
Stupid stereotypes of girls. Either fashion mad (with ethnic variation) or blonde haired, busty, tall, impossibly figured girls.

And That Song Of Which We Do Not Speak By Aqua does not help. *flees before the lyrics invade*
That song sounds so perverted.

Oh, Mr. Mybug from Cold Comfort Farm is too. He sees hills as the breasts of a great brown woman; buds are incredibly phallic shaped and even more absurdities. We saw a clip of the film (1995) and Stehpen Fry was Mr. Mybug.
This is hilarious as there're many hints that Mr. Mybug is a homosexual. And Stephen also acted as Oscar Wilde.
Stephen Fry is an amazing actor. In everything from Blackadder (Meeeeeeeh!) to Oscar Wilde; he's a great TV show host and so funny and intelligent and wow.

Oh, my sister's a doorknob. She's had two weeks to draft up and write up a story in neat. At least.
Now the thing is, she stole the story from me. It was one I told her when she was in Y6. It was a bit like Cinderella; but actually nothing like it.
So not only has she plagiarised me, but those two weeks were spent either writing some incredibly convoluted and twisted version of my story (so it's not even original), but it also means that she's done nothing for this fornight.
And she's now writing it up from draft into neat at after eleven in the evening. She's a total doorknob. And she's also lost all her laptop privileges (score!); but also her DS, stereo, CDs, games and pretty much anything bar books and TV.

They didn't take the TV? o.O

When I was in the 10th. grade, I failed 4 subjects. Not badly, but like one point below what I needed to pass.

Parents ruled: No TV, no videogames, no going out, no computer for non-educational purposes, no fun. I told this to a teacher of mine. "You're Boo Radley!" she said.

I have often said this: my sister and I share a room. I would not be happy as it is my TV/video and DVD player.
And she's not failing; but she's been procrastinating too long over this piece. Mum's given her more than enough leeway, she's had four forced sit-down sessions where she was supervised during writing; or mum was in the other room.
So you can see she's a bit silly.

@DD: No. She's just very lazy.

Mwahaha! I've just been inspired by this link (not going to help unless you read Russian). Basically, the premise of that link is that people are giving themselves nicknames with the following form: The name of your pet, and then the street you live on. According to said link, it's how porn stars made their names, but it doesn't really work that way. Some people even did two, one for the name of their first pet and the street they lived on then, and a second, current set.

So, my pseudonym would be Koshka Canyon. Sounds vaguely heroic, if I do say so myself. How 'bout you people?

I'd post this in its own thread, but it doesn't really deserve one. Just some random fun.

Mozart Bowie.

I've heard other kinds. One, I think, was just: your first name, then the name of the street that you live on. In which case, David Bowie.

Seriously – a woman with Barbie's proportions wouldn't be able to support their own weight.
Though I"m really not that surprised.

That was the one where the less funny something is, the more funny it is if Batman's doing it? Wow I haven't read that comic in a while.
