Nice sound effects on the first one. You sound like the classical narrator. Nice voice.

Got Lying's and Mecha's so far.

All I can say at the moment is that Mecha has a very clear voice and should consider a career as a radio announcer, and that Lying is pretty good at singing.

I'm actually a Film and Digital Media, which has a lot of Crossover with
Communications.

I hope my voice test made at least one person laugh and or smile.

edit: Yay, Lying smiled! And yes, I was having fun with it. "Jesse's Girl" was actually a mistake, though. I had just finished playing it Guitar Hero and the sample came on while I was recording.

EDIT: Q, I think the planet he's from is called Hocotate, not Hotacotolotate or whatever you put.

I would have personally said 'stands about twice as tall as the average resident of Hocotate.'

Yeah, I made a mistake. Just a typo.

I think Digitalph33r does that. Except you type directly in L33T5|o34|< and it comes out sounding like: (Hi what's up?} "aytch-one slash-slash-slash-slash aytch-fourty-seven's up?"

Find a sound recording program either on your computer or on the internet, plug your microphone into the microphone jack, and hit record.

Try looking under Accessories in your Start menu, I think Microsoft bundles a very basic sound recording program

Okay, so I sent a voice sample to Tiffanie Lirle as well. I know I am more of a lurker, reading the discussion thread and the comic thread, but at least this gives additional options.

And in case you wish to laugh at my efforts, I present my files on rapidshare.

The Age of Dragons
Grim Ranger Introduction

The first is a reading of the Age of Dragons article on the ABR wikipedia, while the other is a reading of Grim Ranger's Introduction comic.

I am from the Netherlands, so an accent may be obvious. The second is a lot shorter, so you might wish to listen to that first before getting bored with the other. Though I feel like I messed up somewhat on the reading of the fourth panel. The other has more mistakes, but.. uhm.. it could have been worse?
And as for the why of Grim Ranger's Introduction.. I wanted to read aloud a comic with some text, so I opened the tab of the comic thread I still had open and that one sufficed, heh.

Also, on to other topics; Tired N' Drowzy, indeed a fun way to learn the laws of Inertia!

Lyinginbedmon, do you even need a voice test when you already have a youtube playlist of vidcasts featuring yourself talking?

In all seriousness though, I would have suggested to read out one of the comics in the thread together, preferably using a movie where it shows the cut up comic frames switching to the next as we speak, but unfortunately I have no knowledge how to cut in audio files or how to create such a simplistic movie (which could be placed at youbue) which is combined with the audio.
Where to learn such things easily so as to waste.. err, spend time in a fun manner.. hmm..
