I'm on right now!
So is this whole group thing still really active? Because I'll probably try to get back onto the groove of it here in about a week or so. It's been a year since I've played online though and even then I really only played UMS maps (mostly because I was never good enough to beat people in regular games). But I got good at some of those UMS maps. I wish I still had them on my computer though, some of them are kinda hard to find anymore, like Deleas' Corruption, the best Starcraft RPG on b.net. It's about 4 years old now, but really is awesome (and I know all the best glitches:smallwink:).
We show up at the scheduled time, and if you try you can find some of us in other times. Sadly we are nothing like we were. It used to be from as early as people got on (Sometimes 12:00 EST) to 2:00 or even 3:00 in the morning. Far fewer people show up these days. Still you can get some good games. A better crop than you'll ever find on bnet. And always, always great fun. :smalltongue:
Yeah, gaming with people you know, even on an artificial level like through the internet, is always better than random strangers. I was in a clan a couple years back (SCC if you ever heard of them), and ocassionally thier channel got to be quite entertaining doing a variety of those "Impossible Scenarios" maps. Those are pretty cool of you can get people who know what they're doing.
well, finally got my brood war disc to work, so I might just hope in for the last dsay of summer break for some multiplaying.
which channel are we on?
In twelve hours, GITP channel, US East. Be there.
how much time left? I really wanna join in.
Okay, I'm getting on this early today. Everyone out there, I challenge you to appear!
Is there any legal way of getting a CD key without going to blizzard?
I would doubt it, but who knows.
you see, I lost the SC cd keys, and blizzard wants 10$(!) for a replacment. "shipping and handling" my ass...
Sorry for missing the last 2 sessions without explanation; the first week I was becoming a bit dizzy and not oriented enough to play strategy games. And then today (yesterday depending on where you are) I went to a fair, an event I thought would happen the day before but I had another bout of extreme dizziness and had to put it off till today. I'm pretty much better now, and will try to make the next one.
I'm turning into Winterwind!
So I popped in last night, played a few games, lost all of them, had fun. Seems pretty enjoyable. I plan on being a regular at least for a couple of months.
So who's still active?
I play on the weekends whenever I get a chance, but I play about 5 iCCup games a day as well.
there's a bunch of us that drop every time we can.
how did your game with tannish go Krade? Got DT rushed? (if not, that would be a surprise :smalltongue:). Glad you'll stick around
That's quite some practice LK, trying to get your ZvZ 17miliseconds faster?
PD: everyone practice their banter skill next for next session... you know, just in case Cynan comes around :smallamused:
Edit: holy cow, over 1000 replies and 20000 views
I did OK.
No I did not get DT rushed. He sent DTs but I had a couple canons up by that time and shortly thereafter a few Obs. I've found that my main problem when fighting human opponents is that I'm not aggressive enough. I don't send harassing raids or reaver drop people's minerals or expo with any kind of speed.
I always preferred a good UMS map anyway. There are some pretty kickass games out there (provided you can find them).
most of the ones that also post here. Of the top of my head: Winterwind, Murska, CynanMachae, LeperKahn, Baneling, Zakama are the ones that i remember of being "regular". There are others that also come often but don't post much. This doesn't mean that we are present each saturday, but some of us usually are.
I was looking through a thread on TL.net about personality and race choice, and someone said they could tell what race Korean pros played just by how they looked. Someone else replied with this:http://img357.imageshack.us/img357/9...nter003au2.png
He wins an Internet
What about me, eh? Dunno if I show up tomorrow, but I will try my best!
Funny thing. On Polcon 2008 (a Polish RPG convention) I managed to slip into a StarCraft spontaneous tourney. I lost and it wasn't my fault. They shipped me with a dork who after we started said: "What is about in this game"? We both died very quick. And that's sad, because even 3rd place was worth a lot of money.
The winners were guys who I was guiding on how to build Templars. :smallfurious: Hate 2v2's.
I'm going to do a bunch of studying today, might show up latter though.
This session was historical. I didn't lose a game!
Might've been because I only played 2 games, but still.
Well, Cynan was AFK for the whole time I was there and when we finally got a host to play with, we played one 3FFA which I won and then Ralvious left so I had to play an UMS with Cybran... And I was just losing it but then he had to leave. :smallcool:
Don't throw yourself around because of the little grace period I induced on you!
Been playing Spore so much, I'm even MORE rusty than usual in SC.
EDIT: And again, won every single... single game we played. Which was a Particle Arena.
So how often do most of you play SC on days other than the scheduled meet-up time? I'm on every couple of nights and sometimes during the day and I usually don't see anyone.
I play a lot, but I play on iCCup as I've said before. If you join up in the xFire clan I'd be happy to play if you just want to send me a pm.
