Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
Is this scene not the best in any movie ever, regardless of whether or not Megatron should've won?

S'alright. But it definitely needs more death course. Scene unaccountably lacks bamboo spike traps, poison darts, Indy Hat Rolls and any sign of a giant rolling ball of death. Also suffers from insufficient Belocq, enraged Hovitos or "Jock! Start the plane!!!" :smallamused:
V Ah, but... what... and then... yeah ok, you're right.:smallbiggrin::smallbiggrin:
VV That scene requires no explanation. :smallcool:

Is it a bad sign that I desperately want this book, even though it has nothing to do with my chosen profession?

I choose to take that as a 'no'. :smalltongue:

Yes, but only because your profession is not connected with that book. Thus when robots take over the world, you will be out of a job.
Or it could be a good sign because it shows your Renaissance Character.:smallwink:

Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
Numerical methods are the Devil, however. Regardless of whether or not it makes you a well-rounded person.
Pure maths! Pure maths! Pure maths! Pure maths!
What do we want?
Abstract equations!
When do we want it?
t=0!

Oh man my favorite quote from that movie. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp_K8prLfso
Such a classic.

It takes an engineer to build an ivory tower. :smallwink:
Also, t ~ 10^18 s so I should get a move on if I were you.

Would you say that you are the artist formerly known as Leather_Book_Wizard? Also, no. Enlighten me.

Well, some might say that, but not me.:smallwink: I don't really know much about the movie myself, but I heard that Daniel Craig is being considered for the part of Satan, and that the movie is due for release in 2009. I also heard (but dearly hope it isn't true) that the focus would be less on the Fall of Man and more on a huge "special effects" war between Heaven and Hell.

It's what Milton would have wanted.

Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
A personally think they should show as little of Heaven in the film as possible, and when it is ABSOLUTELY necessary, that they should just have a bright white light and voices, because that is pretty much the only way they could do it and still have it somewhat believable. Aside: Who else thinks Christopher Lee would be awesome as the voice of God? He also would have made a great Satan in his younger years.

Well, they're never going to be able to make a believable Heaven by its definition though, are they? :smalltongue: But I take your point that they should do it tastefully...
Also, I think a lot of people could voice God well enough... Christopher Lee is no exception.

Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
He's already played DEATH so why not God?

It doesn't matter what movie it is, just the quote.
Christopher Lee could do the voice pretty well, but i don't want to think up someone who can do it better.
Also,

Not really, I just think of Girl Genius (GG). Pretty good comic. It's no OotS, though.

Oh man are we getting one heck of a storm rolling through here. Rain whipping in every direction including sideways and hail and lots of rain falling. There's this continuous rumbling noise too.

Eh...I think it's as good as OotS! I mean, I wouldn't want to have to choose between the two...but I REALLY like GG.

Re: Raiser's Rambunctiously Rambling Random Banter #98
Heh...felt kinda nostalgic, added a little stanza from an old Russian song to the sig. Rubakhin would probably appreciate it.
