I'm pretty sure that doing a web search for "Thunderbirds Swastika", as I just did, would have come back with some relevant results if what you actually saw *was* one--it beggars belief that you'd be the first person in half a century to notice?

Car got hit when leaving the movie theater tonight. Pretty good sized dent in both passenger side doors. It was a pretty great day up until that.

Believe me, that's the first thing I did. Anything interesting was drowned out by the 45th infantry - and probably the fact that this was pre-internet didn't help.
It's in the background, but front and center, so I can't be the first to notice. Usually, in fact, I'm the last to notice. Which means that it's probably not a swastika, but it's the same exact shape rotated 45 degrees. I should think a mere 20 years after the war, Britain would still have a bit of a sore spot there.
Unless I'm just poorly educated on the matter, and a 45 degree rotation is all that's required to render it inoffensive; I grant you that it's possible.
If anyone wants to check it out for themselves, and has access to the show, it's the fourth episode "Terror in New York City", at time stamp of 30:30. As Thunderbird 1 lands, it's right in front of a red building with a (not?) swastika on the side. In New York City, of all places!
I trust nobody was hurt, Peelee?

Not at all. No injuries, low-speed accident, went pretty well considering. Won't be driving my car for a bit though; in addition to the damage to the lower part of the door, it juuuuust won't close fully at the top by like a couple centimeters. So it's kind ilof noisy to drive.
And most of all, im fortunate enough for it to not be anything not than a mild inconvenience for me.

I got a cat fountain. So far the cat is not convinced. She'll drink when it's off, so I'm leaving it off for a little bit.

That is good to hear. Hopefully this is a straightforward incident resolution all around

I tried it once and didn't care for it. My problem had more to do with being hearing impaired when using a chat function (I think i this case we had Skype going). In any case, it loses out on a lot of what I enjoy from D&D, which is sitting around a table with friends.

I have yet to meet a cat that wasn't suspicious of change. I think she'll come around. Don't those fountains also keep the water clearer due to circulating the water?

It took our cats a little bit to warm up to ours, but they love it now.

Guy admitted fault (and was a really nice guy, too. Kind of young, first accident, very sorry), and given where it occurred and the damage to both cars it's pretty clear what happened regardless. I don't see any issues, except maybe my insurance rates going up a bit. I've mostly been joking that Solo was so bad somebody hit us. Solo was not bad, btw.
Thanks, though!

That's the idea. She doesn't like that it gets fur floating in the water. But there's usually fur floating in the water. Because she's got more fur than cat.

There are plenty of things online about the dwarf who supposedly hanged himself in the backdrop of a shot from "The Wizard of Oz", so I don't think it being pre-Internet would make a difference. I don't have the original Thunderbirds series to verify it for myself (the one that comes free with Amazon Prime is the 2015 remake), so will just have to leave it be.

Isn't this a massive oxymoron?

Fair enough. I can't account for it; it's plain as day, even though it's only there for a few seconds.
I'd appreciate somebody checking, if they can. I'm starting to wonder if I'm just being a moron somehow. I'm tempted to put up the screenshot I took, but... well, I'm not in a big hurry to do so.

It's in the backdrop, as in it's not the foreground, and not the object of focus for the scene. But it is directly in the middle of the shot, and not obscured by anything; it's the first layer of the background.

Thanks! The biggest inconvenience is going to be higher rates on my premiums, I'm guessing.

I tried to get a good quality view of it and lost 2 1/2 hours wandering the interwebs looking for it to no avail. This was after i (easily) found several items on the hanged munchkin.
A new question from an old man:
How do I convert this:
https://screenshots.firefox.com/rqXO...1.xx.fbcdn.net
to an acceptable custom avitar format?

Re: 2D8HP's extended mea culpa and Random Banter #218
I haven't got any shots of the episode in question, but apparently somebody else noticed the swastika too.

I really want to watch Thunderbirds again now.

And now things get strange once again, because according to MovieMistakes, the episode is episode 13, with the same title.
Thinking once again that I've gone insane, I checked google, who claims that Terror in New York City is episode 4 and I was correct, but is missing an entry for the correct number 13.
I mean, you can find the episode on Wikipedia easily enough; it's called Vault of Death. Still, things are getting increasingly muddy. I suspect a Nazi conspiracy, probably spearheaded from across the ice wall in Antarctica.

You could put it in you "Sig" instead, as Spoiler: Insane Jeenyus

If you right-click you should be able to save the image as something on your computer. Then reupload to an image hosting site. A lot of us use imgur.
Edit: random thought of the day! I love how when I describe my carpet as "rental beige" everyone I've talked to knows exactly what I mean.

Well a friend has invited me to a university society's social, despite the fact that she's the only person from the society O really know at this point. Apparently it'll be fun, I'll meet people, and as most of them watch anime any bad flirting I do won't stand out.

Whenever I go to a restaurant, I always ask for an RC Cola. Usually, they ask "is Coke okay?" and sometimes they ask "is Pepsi okay?" but the one time they actually had it, I was stuck drinking RC Cola.

It was getting major but I got to the ER before any thing nasty happened.
basically, I over exerted my abdominal muscles and caused a tear elsewhere with bleeding, which in turn inflamed and kept me from urinating for 9 hours, or so.
They had to insert a catheter. This event is as fun as it sounds. and it still hurts to empty my bladder 12 hours later.
after what it took to stop the cause of the bleed, they kept me over night.
This is why one should not dawdle in getting to the hospital. so far, I have forced down a chef Slaad . . . er . . . salad.
