Though my favorite privateer was Henry Morgan your quote was too awesome to ruin with words. :smalltongue:

EDIT: What am I saying? He's a friggin' tyrannosaurus mobster. Plausibility was thrown out the window a long time ago.
EDIT2: The question comes on how to fit a tyrannosaurus into an F-14. Perhaps a whole new aircraft needs to be designed.
Just put him inside the aircraft. I even got a picture to show that it works!

Henry Morgan :smallconfused: Sorry never heard of him. Granted I haven't heard about that many pirates, I know more about folklore and the like.

He was a Privateer in the service of England. He later was knighted and made governor of Jamaica.

I am guessing Full Metal Alchemist? :smallconfused:
And we need to get a scene where peacekeepers march in force. That would be awesome :smallamused:

Yes.
Only the Sovice are both more and less sinister than the Amestrian government.
EDIT: This should be the theme song for the new plot. (WARNING: Explicit)

Well, first they were mobsters, and when combined with the near WWI tech level they become prohibition-era mobsters, which are even cooler. And now the Don is a T-rex. And you're looking for ways to put him in an F-14. So, you're making him even cooler, and hence raising the bar.

Rebuttal in the form of a webcomic link.

Okay, everyone seems pretty into the new Pirate-themed plot. But might I suggest an...alternate premise?
Warning, contains some bad photo editing.
...This made a lot more sense in my head.

Well, after the usual response to my Experiment, I decided to start hand-drawing my involvement in ABR, in an effort to improve my skills. Got some character designs out of it.
First, for the pirate plot thing.
Spoiler

Marquis Michael A. von Zeppeli.
Probably an antagonist, since if a marquis is associating with pirates it's generally to get rid of them. Skilled user of the "Ripple" martial art (a.k.a. Hamon, a.k.a. Sendô), which is based around a breathing technique which creates 'ripples' within one's bloodstream. These 'ripples' can be channeled through the martial artist's strikes into various forms of physical waves, or maintained as ripples, healing and/or strengthening certain materials. Also grants the user increased endurance and longevity.
Second, the character profiles for FI.

Ninja Chocobo.
Much the same as he was in FFF, only with somewhat different motivations, and the high-powered pistols he took from the site of the destroyed Hellsing headquarters. As the organisation no longer exists, he is no longer a member, but instead works with the ALF to rid the world of the Sovice.
Motivations: 1. Protect Rose. 2. Destroy Sovice. 3. Destroy undead.

Rose.
Seven years old, and attending primary school. Born in a rural village but rescued from a bandit attack by NC. No biological parents remain, but she looks to NC as a father figure.

Pristine Sylph of Denouement (
née Rose).
Essence eight Chosen of Endings, and Grandmistress of Sidereal Martial Arts. The reincarnation of NC's previous martial arts master who maintains all his memories and skills. Generally wears clothes belonging to her previous incarnation, despite them being far too large.

Well, It looks good and I think I could somehow manage to find proper backgrounds and stuff but...inkscape isn't suitable for editing images at all. I mean, there might be problem with using some characters such as that terrorists in casino......but it might work anyway:smalltongue:

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXV: The Future (Imperfect) is...Soon
There can be viking types too, but theyll have to deal with being boarded too. Plus they probably wont have guns, so might be a bit underhanded in a seafight.
Crap now im also starting that Guns stuff, MM's got going on. :smallannoyed:

This is what I say most of the time after seeing actual movie trailers. I was kinda making fun of that.
Still, I think it's pretty self-explanatory.

Fortunately, Vikings (or Kitten Vikings riding giant eagles)have greater agility, possessing multiple small ships (with the giant eagles acting like horses). They also have the advantage of trusting each other, having the option of just going home, being able to go berserk, and having at least one magic user per vessel. Also, why wouldn't they have guns? Granted, I don't plan on giving them guns, but when we have Viking vs. Pirate debates, we're talking about real life Vikings vs. real life pirates. Here, they are both in the same era.
However, I don't plan on them having guns. Not to say they don't have some technology...muahaha! :smallamused:
All in all, I think Vikings stand a fair chance.

Hey Memnarch, I have no clue how to do that thing you said I should do. Can you try fixing it at your end? Do you need me to send you anything?

If it was one viking with a big stick against 20 privateers armed to their teeth I would still bet on the viking, vikings are battle trained, believe that dying in combat is good and go berserk, privateers fight for money and many go the easy way and doesn't have much experience in combat and would probably flee if it becomes too hard. Vikings are also far more disciplined and organised.
But both are cool :smalltongue:

And so, the ABR crew became the rulers of the world.
(<3 Q)
I can't imagine finding all of the backdrops for this, though.
