Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Without instructions, I defaulted to my usual strategy of targeting a player who was a focus of attention the previous day. I was scried and nothing else.
So, if Sir Ebonwolf reports that I'm evil, it most likely means that I can't see disguises, but that seems kind of unlikely, so you probably shouldn't believe me. If he reports that I'm good, I really am, I'm evil but told the truth about my role and deliberately did not report the disguise, or I'm evil, lying, and made a lucky guess. Or I could be the disguiser, I guess. If someone else scried me, that would be inconvenient.

This is my fault, you asked me to rebound you. You should've targeted your target from the previous night.
Still not liking RuneBoundShade

New Page, so reposting this list
Player List.Spoiler

Grue Bait: Bodyguard (can choose each night to replace NK target, no need to choose a target)

Super Dark33: Guardsman [Mason] (determined by Grave-Keeper)
Bunny of Faith: Chancellor [Wolf Mason] (determined by Necromancer)

TBF: claimed a neutral scry role
usourselves&we: Grave-Keeper (gets role for night kills)
The Grimmace: Masked Role Seer
Vesth: Rogue, confirmed by Zar Peter
PirateMonk: Watchman (knows what targeted a person)
RuneboundShade: Says he has three different powers (scry, void, and unknown) but scried as Wolf
Venetian Mask: Forces target to repeat last night action
Bookboy: The Heretic (50% chance to boost the power of a target each night)
calar: Unknown, possibly no way of knowing
bladescape: King's Champion, hasn't said what it does
Elemental: claimed to be a late-stage scrier, current general opinion is that he was Hangman

billtodamax: no info ("every computed I touch breaks" syndrome)
Matthias 2207: Possible fool, 2/3 scries incorrect so far
Sir Ebonwolf: Marauder with King scry
flabort: checked by Istari as town (being replaced)
C'Nor: Medicine Man, has had a kill, a void, and an unknown
Gray Mage: Mason (little posting)

The Crash Man: redirects abilities, unverified
chaos_redefined: Head Chef (powers unknown)

Sapo, those results seem like nonsense to me. Do you see any kind of order or pattern behind the instruments and the roles as they have been revealed?
Presumably there is one, and if flabort hadn't been inactive I probably would have discovered it by now, but unfortunately I only get 3 results from all the nights from before plus last night so it'll be a while before the pattern can be found.
Bookboy: My role name is The Inebriate, which is Penguin's new and improved name for the Town Drunk.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
EBWOP: 3 scries from all the nights before and one from last night. I scry every night.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Now, did anyone else target PM? If so, then he's lying.
Now, I think I've figured out what's going on. ENTER THEORY MODE!
There is a wolf voider (WV). WV is in contact with whoever has the night kill (NK). WV targeted Gnomish 2 nights ago (resulting in Gnomish being unable to bane anyone last night). Then NK targeted Gnomish last night. Grue Bait, as a bodyguard (I would like confirmation from &we, but we're pretty certain) saw that the baner was under threat (and had picked up the hint that I didn't about GW being voided), and used his ability to preserve the baner. WV also targeted me last night because my ability CAN (if it works) be really scary, especially with the Marauder having both mark and scry.
EXIT THEORY MODE!
That's all theory, but it's what I have.
Sapo: That was mostly a snarky comment. I didn't even know there was a Town Drunk in Medieval I. How did it work last game, that could be helpful.

If memory is correct it gave a color and an animal, color was alignment and the fist letter of the animal matched to that of the persons role name (as the Grave-Maker (town, finds the role of those that are lynched) last game we (would have?(not sure if it was used)) turned up as the Cerulean Giraffe). This here is different, but one would link death with an organ pipe.
Ding dong derry and the death knell tolls.
And yes Grue Bait was a prisoner like he has said, he did say that right? Also just want to echo the all thoughts in the narration if you would let us, it was a lovely narration after all.

Exactly, the initial of the animal name corresponded with the initial of the role, although it could have changed.

Sapo, hard claim ASAP
Everyone, post results. I boosted Gnomish again.
Also, someone scry billtodamax tonight, I've seen him posting in FFRP, yet he still isn't posting here and hasn't been autolynched. Which implies he's only posting night actions. A brilliant method for a wolf to lay low with when there are so many inactives.
I just keep missing the day phases. When I do manage to get on at the right time, I get this game confused with Meta, and think that I've either posted here, or that it's nighttime and I can't.
As for my role, I'm the Scribe. I have the power to use someone's power during the night, and I have a sneaking suspicion that I also void the person I target...
I've missed like ninety nights, and two of the nights I've hit people that didn't have powers - I think they were masons.
Then I hit Zar Peter, trying to verify his powers (I don't think I got the results for that?) and then I hit Gnomish so there'd be two banes going around...

I saw someone voiding Superdark the night he died. Was that you?

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
I think I MAY see a pattern, but with the suspicions against RBS and calar being an unknown, it's very shaky. Instrument = Good, Shell (only had one, can't categorize) = Evil.
ALTERNATE THEORY: 1 word = Evil, 2 words = Good
RBS, the night Ebonwolf scried you as Evil, what action did you take? And I mean in the night phase that Ebonwolf was scrying you.
bill, tell us who you targeted and what night it was on.

The two I think they were masons I targetted were GM and BoF. I can't remember what nights they were on. Zar Peter was... a few nights ago? It was the night before the day he complained about being voided - I figured it was a coincedence. Then 2 nights ago I hit gnomish. I didn't hit Superdark - there must be another voider hanging around.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Oh, sorry, should have outed scry results...>.<
(Also, Unless crash redirected me onto my target, I wasn't redirected.)
Matthias is the Vassal,
A role-scrying fool.
He lives in the castle,
He's just the King's tool.
Longer than the usual rhymes, but it tells me more than usual too.
The night PM targeted me I used fox form on myself?
Wait.
I used fox form on myself.
I seriously hope that didn't disguise me as my opposite alignment or something like that... no, Pengi wouldn't give a disguise to a town sided role, so the disguise probably wasn't me, now that I think about it, it's more likely that It day banes or something... that would, of course, be going on the theory that PM can actually watch, but doesn't see disguising or is a wolf removing it from his results.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
bill, when you targeted Zar, did you get his ability? That would have been when we killed calar, and we need to know his role.
People with WW experience, do Fool's ever get correct scries?

[QUOTE=Bookboy;13377972People with WW experience, do Fool's ever get correct scries?[/QUOTE]
Only by coincidence, if ever.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Conch shell is an instrument, so the shell theory is out.

Depends, not usually, but depends on the narrator.

If that's true, my role is confirmed. Fool. I could be suspicious of the longer than usual rhyme, but well...

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
PM, it's funny you should say that. Given that I believe you were the one that Matthias got right.
Ebonwolf, PM is definitely looking suspicious. I feel he should be scried tonight.
Istari: meh, I didn't really have as much confidence in that one.

I'm just being helpful. Although I will point out that it would be strange whatever my alignment for me to claim the wrong role name when supplied by a likely Fool.

I was already scried last night, although that could have been the Spirit. Is Ebonwolf silenced today or just inactive?

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Wait, crap, I was supposed to redirect RBS!? Sorry guys, I got caught up in the stress of finals and picked the wrong target.
School's over in a day, though, so I promise it won't ever happen again.
Really sorry, everyone ._.
-
Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
I'm tempted to say we just lynch RuneBoundShade just because we have no assurance that he isn't evil regardless of role.
-
Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Okay Crash, who did you you target (both ends of your power)
-
Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
I sent inactive onto inactive, Billtodamax on Saposhiente. In retrospect I probably should've done it in reverse, but like I said. Finals stress.

In a lot of games, they scry the seer correctly, but other then that it's random.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
So RuneboundShade didn't bane me and quite possible has a disguise technique.
...
Who is even left to be suspicious of at this point? From what I can tell someone has to be lying. I'm not changing my vote, I still think it's RuneboundShade, because I'd like to think I'd lie about having a disguise ability given the chance as well.
Alternatively was it made public that Ebonwolf would scry RuneboundShade? If there is a disguise role working for the wolves it would be a good idea to disguise anyone they knew Ebonwolf would scry to get the town away from hitting potential wolves every night.
Ebonwolf hasn't even been to the forums in a few days, hopefully he'll come back and provide us with some useful info. Until then we need to start figuring this out on our own.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Edit: didn't VOID me, not bane. Bleh.

Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Ok, sorry guys didn't post over the weekend...
I scried PM last night and it said he was good, I have scryed Runeboundshade before and he came up as evil so last night i marked runebound.
I want to lynch RBS because we will know what role he was as well. Hope this clears the water a bit
-
Re: Medieval Werewolf II - Now With 50% Less Seers
Runebound's been really suspicious to me as well. Even if he isn't lynched, I'm definitely testing him this night.
