"I... uh... brought you your book sir." :smallfrown:
He goes to set the book down on the table next to Vorka.
The drones continue to buzz about Vorka, who makes no reply. He's busy being skin grafted.
Grrr... drones... :smallyuk:
Butler sets the book down and goes to sit nearby anyways. He'd help if they were doing first aid or something, but skin grafts are a bit above him.
The book flicks open, and shows a picture of Butler being manly, and heroic, while lots of people clap all around him. No incantation, though, suggesting that the tome's merely commending him, rather than offering magicks to help stinky Vorka.
"Oh, thank you sir. It was nothing really sir. Just doing my job as a butler sir."
The book-Butler smiles and nods to the real Butler, understanding his modesty.
Don't you mean MANLY(!), Kaela?

*goes back to deadtime*
"So are you a new member sir? Or a vegetaranian sir?" It does not seem odd to him to have a book as a member. Huh. Well there are a lot of weird members. I mean, come on. Talking cat.
Book isn't that big of a stretch. In his mind anyways.
The book-Butler shakes his head. Little pictures dance around the page, as if to explain its story. Vorka stealing the book from a loving and oversexed catboy priest! Vorka bringing the book to GLoG, whipping it occasionally! Vorka locking the book away in the vault! :smalleek: And, just in case Butler wasn't sure about any of this, the slideshow's rounded off with a picture of Vorka eating a little girl. :smallwink:
"H-he did that sir?" Butler whispers. He's not sure he wants to have Vorka wake up in the same room as Butler anymore. And he hasn't really met Vorka before so doesn't know better.
Book-Butler nods, looking equally scared and terrified!
"Be very quiet sir." As if the book was making a sound.
Keeping his eye on Vorka, he creeps forward towards the book to snatch it off the table and dash off to his room.
And the book's taken by Butler! Yippee!
"I think you'll be safe in here sir. I'm pretty sure he can't get in here without me sir." He puts the book down on the bedside table.
The book opens, yet again, to show a picture of Book-Butler looking very grateful, and offering to do all sorts of housework and things for real-Butler!
Butler shakes his head. "Oh no sir. I couldn't ask that of you sir. That's my job sir." Plus he actually enjoys his job. Which is probably the biggest thing to envy about Butler if you wish to envy anything.
He starts taking off the Butler-man suit to return to his butlering clothing.
And the book deadtimes. Heh-heh..
In the infirmary, Chelonie calls out telepathically for Lex.
All she gets in return is nothingness. She maybe can tell she's still connected, but Lex isn't responding.
Butler deadtimes in his room with the book.
Reinholdt undeadtimes somewhere. Probably wandering the base. He's tried getting in the armory, but it keeps not letting him in. I guess lusting after a bazooka is considered evil intent.
Wenomir is around, his arm still plastered.
Then Reinholdt runs into Wenomir. "Oh hey. I meant to ask you yesterday if you wanted that healed up, but sort of got siderailed." What with Happy's important talk and stuff.
Well, my collar bone is broken. I'm not sure if it can be just healed up, he says grumpily.
"Well if you don't want me to try, I'll understand..." Chelonie seemed dead-set against receiving healing.
I'd like you to try all right, but I fear it might have some bad effect. Like the bone will mend in the wrong way. I've seen this kind of thing before.
When they get to the kitchen, Tia squirms out of Marcos' arms and drops to the floor. She lands gracefully and shakes herself off. The fox looks up at Marcos and tilts its head.
"Well alright." Reinholdt does his positive energy life mojo on Wenomir. Here's hoping his fears are overblown.
Vidalia walks into the kitchen. Oh, hello Tia.
((Wenomir actually meant he doesn't want Reinholdt to try after all...))
Then he probably shouldn't have prefaced it with "I'd like you to try all right" :smalltongue:
Reinholdt does not do this. Instead he nods understandingly. "Probably for the best."
