Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
In comichttp://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0999.html the High Priest of Tyr has a hook (or can opener:smallamused:) instead of his left hand.

And the way his helmet conceals his eyes is possibly a nod to how the mythological Tyr was often presented as blind.
In fact, a bunch of the high priests have ailments or injuries referencing their deity.
-
Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Some of them may not really have the ailments related to their respective gods, just representing those ailments. The Priests of Hoder wear blindfolds to represent Hoder, even if they aren't blind.

I think it would be neat if the High priest of Odin's eye patch turned out to be ceremonial. Maybe next time we see her it will be on the other eye...
-
Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Nice costume, but the eye patch is on the wrong side.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
I just realized how well Belkar calling Wrecan "Sacred Knight of the expository aside" lines up pretty well with Greg Calling him "crusader".
As an aside, in the first strip I also noticed the future High Priestess of Hel standing in a corner, mace and all, and the usher who takes care of Roy and Wrecan later became one of the few vampires to escape with Greg.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Yesterday I noticed that the clothing of the staff from the inn in Somewhere has the same color scheme for every one of their employees. Which, you know, makes sense because hotels generally do have some kind of identical work uniforms for their staff...

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
The bikinis in #227 don't have any red though!
In panel 6 of the same comic, sneaky ninja.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
In Origin of PCs, the barmaid of the ROB-U-WHILE-U-SLEEP-INN sure looks a lot like Crystal. Not just the haircut, but also the top and the earrings...
-
Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Which makes sense, since she's talking to Chuck, the Thieves Guild Arcane Trickster. Which means Elan and Sir Francois were in Greysky City.

She's her.

What I just noticed:
In 1020, Blackwing can identify the spell on the scroll despite having no idea what he is doing.
Can anybody explain to me how he does it?

In 3.5e, Familiars can use their Sorcerer's/Wizard's/Etc. skill ranks.

New headcanon: The inn hired some hookers for this task because they didn't had enough employees scheduled to accommodate two kings at the same night...

He was there when V scribed it, and could easily have been told then.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
I just assumed the short-haired Creed of Stone vampire was male. Looking closer, she appears to have a less-curvy-but-still-feminine body.
-
Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
The curve is consistent on every page she's on. Also, are there any male dwarves without beards? Even the young ones have a smaller version of a beard.
-
Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Good catch! Hadn't noticed that myself. Yes, the rounded lower body and slight breast curving are consistent with a female body. As for race, for some reason I always assumed that was a gnome or halfling, maybe because of the smaller size... but there's no hairy feet or headgear, so I guess (female) dwarf makes sense.

#994, pre-vamp lady is in the first panel, on the right side of the right door.

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
In comic 861 the imp says "home sweet home" instead of "hell".
Sorry I can't link yet

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Also the ingredients and uses on the cleric in a can is quite interesting

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
And and and Roy's legacy rage thing in comic 1010 is very similar to a barbarian rage like Thog's in comic 808

You know you could just edit your first post to include the other things you added, and not have a small post flood?

Sorry about that I'm new to this and only noticed the "edit" button on the finale of my small post wave

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
Haley appears to have a small tatoo on her back. Looks like a heart-and-arrow design; possibly from OtOoPCs?

Re: Things You Never Noticed V: Your Familiar
I just noticed Durkon drastically changed in appearance after fighting Malack.
