Edit: Important questions regarding my recently acquired territory... I assume I need to do an explanation of the inhabitants, their religion and two additional terrain features, but I can do that in my sleep. Note: If I did do it in my sleep, it wouldn't be very good.
What I need to know though is, one, how do I determine the population of the region, and two, do they need an import necessity? If so, is there a method you have in mind so I don't just use something I already have access to?

Sorry if I'm much less active this week. I'm not feeling well. I want to give everyone advanced warning of an event Sanctuary will be hosting in Tekorva every twenty years 「four rounds」 beginning in round 8 「year 366」.
Yes, it is very advanced warning, however I don't want to disrupt other peoples' plans. I've finished writing most of the character profiles and hope you will attend. The High Prince will be sending out invites to all rulers during round 7. I don't mind if nobody's interested either, so don't be afraid to turn down the invitation when it comes to you.
Summary of my planned event - A cultural event involving the appreciation of fine arts, in particular paintings and music. However, under the surface lies intrigue typical of the Aristocracy of Sanctuary…
366 「Round 8」
Relatively recently within our Memory the ancient tradition of Cantus Sai has become prominent among the Yorukuninin. As time went on and the nature Cantus Sai fully developed, the main event became exclusively for the Pure Blooded and an unspoken rule was born that only the Aristocracy may attend though all may celebrate Cantus Sai. With recent events giving us access to great influence within the Overworld, our Advisor Shadou to the Future High Prince of the Ancient Fiefdom of Sanctuary has made an announcement which caused excited rumour among many of the Yorukuninin.
Thus, the Aristocracy have decided to invite the most powerful rulers of the land to partake in Cantus Sai. While they are allowed to bring attendants and parties, they may not bring any but themselves into the Aristocracy’s Cantus Sai.
What is Cantus Sai you ask, and why is it so important to you? Well, to begin with our people are a proud race. Some Overworlders would even call us arrogant, and they are not far wrong. We take great pride in beauty and so an appreciation of the arts would be popular among us, don’t you think? While we celebrate beauty all the time, Cantus Sai is an ancient tradition of gathering to appreciate others’ work. Paintings, sculptures, lyrics, stories, music, theatre and countless other things.
Of course, with the nature of our modern Cantus Sai, would it not be a perfect opportunity for… Well… I’m sure you can figure that out for yourselves, what with so many of High Birth gathered.

if a new ruler takes over on "day 1" of a round, we use his/her stats, correct?

Is there any claim on region 26, or any info? I'm thinking exploration / colonization for the Jeweled Isles.
As long as the action is during this round, the previous ruler's stats are used until the end of the round, and the next rulers stats take effect the next, and get the bonuses the previous round accrued.

Technically yes, but we need to know from the previous round onwards, so that by the current round ends the rulers stats have already been updated to the tables. So if you want to start next round with a new ruler, you need to inform us this round, and post a link to the rolls.
As region 26 stuff was never put up by the reserver, it is now open again and available for colonizaion or claiming.

Invitation to the world's fair is extended to all world leaders and scientists for this round. The official thread for roleplaying will be up later today (6:00 PST +/- 1 hour). So if you have an action for diplomacy or curiosity, you may want to roll it into attending the event!
Morph! Celero is conducting an investigation before making any potenially rash action against Crima or its leadership. Should this be a roll in the dice thread to determine the culprit? Celero is also calling out to any potential adjudicators to assist in the investigation. I am pondering if this should also be made into a thread. (I am also pondering if the most knowledgeable experts of law should be invited, considering they are exclusive to the Union of the North.)

So we can definitely use a Curiosity action to attend? If we use a Curiosity action, can we roll Diplomacy actions (e.g. trade agreements) into the action? Could we nest other Curiosity actions (e.g. research) within our attendance?

I'll have the Blazing Avatar drop by in that thread then. I was planning on having him travel through some of the countries this round. I wasn't planning on making a thread for it specifically, though if someone wants to make a thread for it for their country, feel free to. (The RP bits won't be too long and each individual visit won't take longer than this week. Pryonia, Keldagrim and some of the Union of the Northwest were part of the plan for the trip.)
For that investigation, Logic, you can make an... hmmm... Diplomacy roll.

So who all is trying to claim 26? Cause I think I'm going to add myself to that list. Of course, now I have too many actions, but that can't really be helped. I'm on a phone right now, but I'll update my actions and do the rolls in ~3 hours.

The Jeweled Cities will press a claim, since we have the boats to get there quickly. I willbupdate my stats and be able to roll Tuesday.
