Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
Hank. Can everyone stop asking me about Hank yet? A long and storied career and all you can think to ask me about for identification is that poor Pidgey. I think it's safe to say we're all who we say we are; easy to trick one person, substantially more difficult to fool a group. I'd bet this is where she puts the toys she no longer wishes to play with. You and Gerald are the braniacs, any notions on how to escape?

"Neurojack.exe, but that proves nothing..."
He groans as he sits up, body protesting being slammed around all day, Sparky chittering angrily.
"Said it over the phone earlier. What did you say anyway, Arte?"

Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
Hold on...I have an idea. Probably not a good one, but then why should I start now?
Paul brings out Creep, unravels Hardcase from his head, and thinks to the Kakuna.
I'm sorry to see you inconvenienced again, pal. But I'll make it brief. Creep, feed out your line, carry Hardcase, and both of you hook on to something as best you can. If it gets to be too much, just release and come back down to me.
The Pokemon do as requested.
Here goes nothing...

Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
Seems I wasn't very clear. I don't even want to be associated with these morons! I wasn't trying to threaten you! I was saying hat they're going to do something stupid and I'd rather prevent that! She rubs her side that hit the ground. "I'm not allowed near the fighter side of town, and probably not to be left alone with Romeo or Paul. I told her that you guys wanted Romeo and Ethan out safe and the additional people may prove too much for her if she refuses. Seems she took it as challenge as opposed to diplomatic attempts."
She recalls Aquilla for now. "Any known ways out of here?"

Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
The chutes seem to be the only way. Paul and you are the only one physically strong enough to leave by that method I believe.

Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
She rolls her eyes. "We'll try to come back for you guys." She tries to climb through the chute, watching for anything nasty at the top.

The two of you manage to pull yourselves out of the chute with great effort to see a very shocked man and a woman that Paul recongnizes as the Copycat.
"Wait, you actually keep people in your Body Disposal?" the man says, looking at a journal similair to Ethan's. "I thought it was a joke!" he says, edging away from the woman, a look of horror on his face.
The Copycat takes one look at the two of you, spikes another Smoke Ball, filling the hallway with smoke, and runs for it down the hallway. You can hear the man coughing next to the two of you.

Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
Romeo had nothing better to do than sit and read the book. The fact he had been reading it for so long meant either it was laced with puzzles and riddles he was decoding, or he was to stupid to realise there was nothing useful in it. It was most likely the later.
-
Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
Artemis scans the man's mind (assume she does so for every person she encounters here, and probably for the next two days if she lives) as she pulls herself up the end of the chute. Copycat, I don't wish you any harm yet, but right now I don't know about my comrades. We actually came to ask for your help originally. She has yet to realize that her attempts at reasoning are probably not going to get her anywhere.

Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
"...Well, one way to be sure I can trust you two."
He pulls his pistol out of its holster and a full clip before putting it on the ground, loading the gun. He then slides it between Romeo and Ethan.
"Don't want to play. Don't really know what it is to play. All I wanted was to get you both out with bribery. Otherwise I'm sitting the rest of this out."

It does in fact seem to be the latter; besides for the first few pages having the map and a few uninteresting journal entries by Copycat, such as "Dentist, % o'clock," there is nothing of worth in it.

You are unable to get anything from the man's mind. It is completely blank.
The Copycat doesn't reply, but you do get the feeling that she is enjoying herself immensely.

As the gun slides across the floor it is pulled up to a Magnemite.

Okay, you want a game it seems. What is the goal of the game?

Winning! it simply cries, somehow seeming as if it is giggling across the mental connection. It is growing faint though, as if she is far away.

Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
'Do you think they are part of the puzzle?' Romeo does another stupid thing and tries tapping one of the magnemites..
-
Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
Artemis does her best to follow the feeling of Copycat's mind. And how does one win this game? She lets Aquilla back out. She'll eventually figure out if she wants to keep him out or not.

Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
"...Muking steel types."
He scans them and the humans while he's there.
"Well, we could use them to stick to the slide as handholds. Or tap the walls for hollow areas behind them."
-
Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
I don't think they will let us use them without a fight. I'd rather not get shocked. Yelling up at the 2 who climbed out. Hey! Can you pull us out!?
-
Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
"30 feet of thread and vine. 60 if they're together."
Gerald pulls out the broken husk of a great ball, and begins tinkering with it.
[roll0]
"...Humor me for a minute in a bit."
As he works on one of the more complex portions, a magnemite tugs on the tools, causing the ball to fitz out.
"...Muking steel types."

Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
Paul, I'm tailing Copycat. You help them up so we don't lose her.
-
Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
"Ethan, Romeo, going to do something potentially stupid. May want to get away. Sparky, onto them."
Sparky pauses, and looks at him.
"Onto Ethan or Romeo, girl. Please."
Sadly, she passes herself over to Ethan, as Gerald pulls another pokeball out and walks over to the magnemite with the gun.
Then he punches it in the face with the ball.

Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
Paul lowers a rope made from the threads of Creep and Hardcase, and anchored by the heavyset champ himself. A Pokeball is tied into it.
If you want to take a shot at that metallic mon, this will be easier, egghead. And whenever y'all are ready, give the rope a tug and we'll go ahead and pull you back up.
-
Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
"PUNCHING MAKES ME FEEL BETTER ABOUT WHAT THEIR TYPE TOOK FROM ME!"
If Arte's in range, she gets a very good idea of what it feels like to have your arm ground off up to the shoulder by a pair of living gears.
-
Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
Artemis clutches her arm for a second as she chases Copycat. Whence in the Void did that come from? It was a dull pain, as though she had decided to imagine her shoulder were being separated from her body by a slow moving chainsaw. Odd. She continued the chase, Aquilla close behind, keeping mind of her team as well as Copycat. Know where all the pieces are on the board at all times. Losing even a pawn to simple carelessness can be a fatal error if not done with the proper planning.
-
Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
Ethan runs over to the rope, dislodges the pokeball and tosses it to Gerald. He then wraps the rope around his forearm and tugs. Paul, would you be so kind as to pull me up?

You recieve a slight shock as you do so; not enough to injure you, but enough to make you pull your arm back in, well, shock.

Can't tell you that! the Copycat says, thinking in the same singsong voice. You are barely able to keep up with her when she darts into a room on the side and... You lose her mind. It's just gone.

The Pokeball fails to activate, likely meaning that this Pokemon has been captured before, likely by the Copycat.

Re: Pokemon Tabletop Adventures: Team Rocket, v 0.1
"Satisfying anyway."
He tosses the ball and Buck's ball into his kit and heads towards the makeshift rope.
"After you both."
