Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
When does the match start?
-
Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
That karthus ult... it left Olaf with literally no health bar. :smalleek::smallbiggrin:
Amazing timing on that Ragnarok, Stanley.
Also, I love how the crowd is cheering for ward clears.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Karthus Quadra kill. That is all.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Azubu's team comp is just SO good in teamfights. Amumu and Sona ults while Karth sits there with Defile, then Requiem to clean up. It's just one of those comps that when you get to teamfight stage, you feel kinda helpless against it.

With TPA's vayne sooooo squishy and Azubu's ez being sooo slippery, it is almost certain that vayne will die before ez even with olaf blowing everying trying to kill ez. I keep hitting my screen yelling in my head that vayne needs a GA not another zeal. If vayne got anywhere near 50% hp, karthus ult WILL kill her.

At this level of play, QSS can serve the same exact purpose: Countering Karthus Ult. My question is, was Vayne using it that way, or was she being forced to blow it early on something else entirely? It was hard to see where I'm at.

Wait, QSS counters Karth ult? Is this for real? Because if so, I just learned something, and thank you for that. Not that I'll pretty much ever use it, but cool to know.

Huh...Could've sworn it did, but the wiki has it as not doing that:

My bad :(

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Why must the world tournament be at midnight?!!? I have work tomorrow!!! "Sigh" Well that's timezones for you.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Game 2 summary, at the 35 minute mark:
Caitlyn takes 2 towers, then *EVERYONE* has a farm fest for like 10-15 minutes. TPA says "Forget this", takes Baron while AZF watches helplessly, then proceeds to storm 4 towers and an Inhib, and they show *NO* signs of stopping.

You forgot the 10k gold advantage for TPA that eventually gets turned into a 20k advantage.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
That was the fastest baron I have ever seen. Good lord.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Karthus was such a deciding factor in both these games. I'm wondering if he's going to start getting banned out? He's just so strong when both teams are amazingly good at getting out of teamfights at the last moment - every player fighting to like 5-10% health and then managing to disengage. Then Karthus sits there like "LOLOLOLOL TRIPLE/QUADRA KILL"
-
Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
It greatly amuses me how Olaf escaped Karthus' ult twice in game one. The second one, denying him the penta :smalltongue:
-
Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
I was honestly very surprised that Karthus wasn't banned by TPA for that second game, but then I realized what they did.
They baited AZF into picking Anivia (because AZF has THE Anivia player), so that they could then get that Karthus. It worked, and worked well.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
*I* have claimed the head of Baron Nashor. Where do I collect my 300g?
No, seriously, I won a plushie Baron Nashor head in a raffle.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
So, I love Kha'zix!
I really want to play him in SR. But his jungle seems really weak at level 1 so is there a way for me to gank after jungle clear with boots 3? Or do I have to start cloth 5?
-
Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Some of these pro matches, when I see "First Blood", it surprises the heck out of me. Not because I didn't expect the kill, but because I didn't realize that was the FIRST kill. So often there were a bunch of plays already that were obviously won by one team or the other, it's a bit weird to be like, "Oh. I watched a bunch of won fights, but NO ONE ACTUALLY HAD A KILL yet"
EDIT:

With Kha'Zix, I've been taking Exhaust and starting blue, then running up to the bush by my enemies' wraith and trying to surprise kill the enemy jungle there. I'm still experimenting with it, but so far it's been working pretty well. It puts me ahead of enemy jungle - usually I don't get a kill but I burn enemy jungle's flash and get to farm a bit while he runs back to fountain. I'm hoping to get it to the point where I can pretty consistently get a kill there.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Hugely beneficial laneswap. Holy crap, that was a brilliant decision.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Holy crap, they made AZF surrender :smalleek:
-
Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut

Wow, that was an amazing level 1 fight. :smalleek::smallbiggrin:
2 kills, multiple flashes burnt, and a blue steal. Good lord.
EDIT: Anyone else have the stream die on them? (1:33est)
-
Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Yep, died on me too. And in the finals. :smallmad:

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
It just came back for about 15 seconds, then crapped out again when I tried to lower the resolution.
