Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
PAC is rather predictable, and I don't really see how changing art assets would affect the skill. IIRC, it works on a cycle that iterates every .515 or so seconds, Blue -> Red -> Gold, etc. The cycle persists even when PAC isn't currently on the first half of its cast, so players with passable internal metronomes should be able to predict the first card they'll pull on each cast. I don't see why the delay or internal mechanisms would change, and PAC already has several indicators that make card colors fairly trivial to notice...

Actually, they make it harder to see which color a card is.

While the order of rotation is fixed, the first card is RNG'd.
Overall new assets don't have a difference IME, however I'm well practiced at pulling golds. It might be easier for newbies, but I wouldn't know.

*raises hand* I kinda do. It looks a LOT better now...
Also, AD Swain. I've never had so much fun as Swain before (more so than going AP).

As a big fan of treeline, I am looking forward to this.
Sadly, all of my friends loathe the map after they tried to get into it without knowing how it worked...

Oh, I care. I'll have to try to talk my friends into trying it out again. Few of them are fans of the thing. :smallsigh:

I care. Been playing TT recently. Its not very good, but its different. Maybe this rework will make it less "not very good."
-
Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Really, TT has been reworked. I need to see this.
*Goes to play*
Edit: Okay, so it hasn't been redone yet. Went through a game where the Xin would constantly dive the malphite and then asked everyone to trade honor with him.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Yay for the Spider Queen!
Unfortunately, she's another form shifter, which seem to be difficult to balance. Ah well.
The Shadow Isles page is pretty neat, but I'll agree that Karthus and Mordekaiser had better old lore when they were more mysterious and less explained.

... A much better origin if you ask me.
He also pretty much got really flustered when anyone asked him why he's essentially doing charity work (he refuses any sort of payment), which amused me.
Also, he was pretty clearly a bard, which I thought was neat.

That is not actually true. It was recently discovered that, as aethernox said, the skill is constantly going through the same rotation at the same speed even when you don't have the skill up. The only time the rotation stops is when it's locked in and ready to throw.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
I like Karthus's new story.
Granted, the old one was much more hilarious, but the new one at least -gives him a purpose-
I'm looking forward to Shadow Isle Sona.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Just did some random gooding around on TT.
There are a BUNCH of new items on it now :O
Some are obvious "new" items that replace old ones (Woogles Witchcap, anyone?) that have their own unique twists.
The new jungle layout is quite nice, in my opinion, giving you three camps within literal spitting distance of one another centered around the key "shrine" you want to protect.
Controling one shrine gives you additional gold, ala TF's passive, except it's 4 gold each. While controlling two gives you +10% on all of your damage (or something to that effect).
I have no idea what killing Vilemaw does, because, sadly, I couldn't actually do it.
EDIT: thoughts on new champ: spider form lends itself very well to handling jungle camps, though admittedly, I haven't played it much. regaining spiderlings is very easy, and the Rappel command is very good for positioning.

If only they gave us bots for it at long last.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
RoG's method of gathering data from PBE patches tends to produce weird mistakes. According to Morello, Jayce is losing the flat damage on Thundering Blow. I noticed Sona's armour change is also reversed.

The item costs are way off, too.

Re: League of Legends XXXVIII: Featuring Mumble, The Giant Halibut
Well the new items look good but I wonder how many are TT only.
Lord Van Damm's Pillager: +40 Attack Damage +350 Health UNIQUE Passive: +10% Cooldown Reduction UNIQUE Passive: +25 Armor Penetration UNIQUE Passive: +15% Spell Vamp Cost: 3104
An obvious new upgrade to brutalizer and looks like the item that the devs wanted to make AD casters more viable.
Blade of the Ruined King: +40 Attack Damage +10% Life Steal
UNIQUE Passive: Your attacks deal 4% of the target's current health in magic damage and heals you for half the amount (120 max vs. minions).
UNIQUE Active: Drains target champion, dealing 150 physical damage plus 50% of your attack damage and healing you by the same amount. Additionally, you steal 30% of their movement speed for 2 seconds - 60 second cooldown. Cost: 3153
A different upgrade for the madred's razor I presume.
Blackfire Torch: +50 Ability Power +300 Health +350 Mana UNIQUE Passive: Your spells burn for an additional 5% of the target's maximum Health in magic damage over 3 seconds (effect halved for AoE). Cost: 3188
Poor brand. Your passive is no longer special.

All this and still no Executioner's upgrade?

Actually, it's an upgrade for the blade portion of the Gunblade
something cutlass.

Could be both, the abilities certainly fit.

The price fits. 1000 for the madred's razors, and 1875 for the cutlass, plus the combine cost.

I'm assuming they're taking away the percentage bonus and turning it into a flat bonus.
I hope those DFG nerfs don't happen because they'll basically kill Veigar. :smallfrown:
