The robot will find a very conspicous elevator. Assuming it gets in, the elevator will head down to the main room.

The bot won't find a boss, but a secretary. Luckily, Jane is already pointing it to another room.

The bot thanks Jane and follows her directions, sighing.

[The Operative's Office]

Once the bot enters the room, he'll find a pretty normal office. Except for the ghost, of course. That's less than normal. The Operative stares through his gas mask at the Philbot. "Who is your operator?"

"I am under orders from Phillip Michael Banagher, but legally speaking, I am offering and paying fir this contract myself."

[The Operative's Office]

The ghost looks at the robot for a few moments. He would have preferred to deal with this Phillip in person, but he doubted this robot was going to budge. "Alright, tell me about this contract."

Legality and all that.

"A certain Riv, formally head of Excelsior tech, believes that he and Phil are at war, and shot down some of Phil's satellites, which were quickly replaced. Phil would like to avoid further conflict the only way Riv understands. He wants to show Riv what war really is," the robot retrieves a bottle of absinthe from its chassis and offers it to the ghost, "Phil wants Riv and his co-conspirators either dead or so horribly wounded and mortified from the experience that they never bother Phil again. Bonus pay if you can get a video of Riv sobbing like the whelp he is for Phil to put on air."

[The Operative's Office]

The Operative passes his hand through the bottle of absinthe, showing that he's very incoporeal. Ghosts can't drink, silly robot.

"This contract is within our abilities. What are you offering for payment?"

The Operative's Office

"Payment will consist of weapons and armor bought from various private gunsmiths and designers to avoid possible leads back to you or Phil and access to a supply stash in a hidden location left behind by Phil's previous mentor. You will also be armed and armored as appropriate, and be provided air support. While the robots and some other hired hands make the main attack, more...subtle persons such as members of this organization will be searching solely for Riv and his allies. There is one stipulation, though. Innocents cannot be harmed. I cannot stress that enough. If Riv has taken hostages, either free them or avoid them so as not to lead to their deaths, and report it back to me."

The robot shrugs and retracts the bottle.

The Operative thinks for a few moments. "We can avoid collateral damage. Before this contract is accepted, though, I trust you have these weapons and armor ready for delivery now?"

"I do. I must say, I don't exactly feel entirely safe just handing them over to a group called 'MURDER' before the job's even done, but Phil insists that it's entirely safe."

Phil also has designed everything he ever made so that if the designs were stolen or turned on him, they would explode in the user's face.

[The Operative's Office]

"The name wasn't my idea. Two more things: I'd like you to describe these objects with more specificity. Also, I would request that this attack begins when appropriate for us." If the ghost was going to turn on Phil, it'd be with his psionics anyway.

"The weapons are mostly silent, non-projectile based weapons, such as electrolasers, ionizers, and long range kinetic reversal rifles. The armor consists of a layered reaction suit with overarmor that emits a stealth field using shiabenene nanotech. The stash holds roughly two hundred ionizing glaives. You may attack whenever you feel, but Phil and the other hired hands will be attacking sometime within the next week, so it will probably be easier for you to attack then, but it's not like Phil will try to take payment back if someone else kills Riv. What's yours is yours."

[The Operative's Office]

"Very well. Your contract is accepted. I'd request that you deliver your payment as soon as possible." The Operative stands from the desk. "One last question, though. You wouldn't happen to know the names of this Riv's allies?"

"The payment has already been discreetly dropped off at [location] for you to pick up as needed. We know of one man, Prometheus, and a possible second. We know that his allies have some skill in magic, but we don't know how extensive it is. Also, I just received information that the assault may include an antimagic and an EMP bombardment. Will that be a problem?"

[The Operative's Office]

"Doubtful. Most all of us can function just fine without magic or electronics." The Operative gestures to the door. "I believe that will be all, unless you have something else."

"That will be all. This holobox will keep you updated with the layout of Riv's base," the robot deposits a small, clear cube on The Operative's desk.

The holocube floats upwards, so that the Operative can examine it. "I will contact you when the contract is completed."

The robot nods and plots the heck out of there. Ghosts creep this Philbot out.

[Briefing Room]

The Operative takes another few glances at the three arrivals. "Well, anyone who arrives later will have to wait. You three get first pick on this contract." He passes a copy of a somewhat crude drawing to Rael, Sarah, and Fade.



"This is Stu, our target. A sapient flower, uses a power suit for movement. Our contract is to capture him, alive and unharmed." At this point, the two pieces of papers from Gus float above the ghost's hand. "Whoever completes this contract will gain access to these two Abyssal Pacts, free of charge. Any questions?"

[Briefing Room]

"Yes. Where does he hang out? It's not fun to scour all of Nexus for someone, even if he is unusual, even for here."

[Devixer]

[Briefing Room]

"Stu owes our client his soul, or so I'm told. From that, I gather he's more unscrupulous than most. As such, I suggest checking up on AMEN, the Black Dragon's Den, other such places."

[Lady Serpentine]

[Briefing Room]

"Very well."

Sarah asks: "Any other key information? Favorite pastimes? Combat abilities? Social status?"

[Devixer]

[Briefing Room]

The Operative gives a short shake of his head. " Unfortunately, our client either didn't know, or didn't see fit to part with much information. However, I can guess that his primary weapon is what appears to be the flamethrower on that power suit. Thus, if we find a way to disable it, a live capture should become easy."

[Lady Serpentine]

[Briefing Room]

"Wonderful."

Rael stops for a minute, apparently thinking.

"As his abilities are unknown, we shouldn't assume that the flamethrower is the only thing he has. Based on appearances, Ms. Bloodchanter wouldn't be nearly as dangerous as she is."

He pauses for a moment, and smiles at her, before continuing.

"But she has rather unique talents that can't be seen. How do we know that this talking flower doesn't? In my opinion, we need more information."

"That's exactly why I don't impose time limits upon contracts," the ghost replies without missing a beat. "Even if the client gave us information, it could've been false."

"Thus, I'd expect you to do some investigation on this target before attempting any sort of capture."

"The suit makes the flower very stron. He is even stronger than a normal human. Also he seems to have some weapons hidid there. On the other side some of the AMEN member seem to be his partners. The best way to capture him would be when he is alone. Otherwise he hadn't shown any other abilitys."

Fade notice while looking at the picture. He looks up and I assume someone will look at him since there are a few new informations.

"Oh, he tried to rob Trog's and I was there. It's a while ago I think."
