I'm pretty sure that if you're vegetarian, you by definition don't eat meat. They might still eat eggs or something though.

Um, vegetarianism is a lifestyle, typically in omnivores. And the problem lies exactly in that 'something'

If I recall correctly, there are vegetarian hot dogs.

Well, the problem is also with pig on AJ's far. Pigs are actually pretty lean animals, to make them fat you must overfed them. We see Cutie Mark Crusaders do just, by dumping a lot of food for them.

They also seem to be unintelligent, as you said.

So, either AJ's farm wastes 90% of the food to produce enough scraps... Or they're being specially fattened for some reason...
