Huh. Actually, now that you mention it I hear a husky boy's voice in Zecora, whereas previously she just sounded like a mellow Madam Clio. I pegged her for a gal immediately. Good note though. Now I kinda can't stop hearing her as a boy.

I suppose it's like those illusions where, once you see it one way you can't see it the other. Or in this case, hear it.

Now I got it in my head that Zecora is actually male, and the ponies mistook him for female because they aren't familiar enough with zebras to reliably tell their sex.

Actually, I'm OK with that.
