The portion about basic human rights specifically since IMO, a right is only something that society has decided that all people should have. Eg. universal healthcare, fair trial, definition of ownership

Some things might predate "society" somewhat- the concept of "right to life" or "right to property" meaning a person who takes another's life, or property, without appropriate justifying factors, is regarded as a murderer, or a thief, and punished in various ways.

This might go right back to tribal humanity- "negative rights".
