    That..... is kinda complicated.

    The answer is 9 energy per tick. Steam engines produce 1 energy per tick, released in pulses when the moving part of the engine fully extends.

    Lava power combustion engines produce 1, oil powered is, I think, 2 and fuel powered is 5.

    Redstone, btw, produces 1 energy every time the moving part extends.
