Naethalee gasps, the half-drowess unable to contain a shock of sensation coursing through her body at the prick to her sensitive ear.
"I know that some things are not meant to be resisted. And that others cannot be. I also know that fleeing from danger might mean a safer existiance - but also a more boring one. I will gain knowledge. Experience. Perhaps even humility." She might be joking with that last. "But more importantly, were I to resist, were I to flee, I would never know what I did not gain - and that is something I do not abide in my life."
