    I don't think there would be any aging problems with McGann coming back. The TV movie may have been the only 8th Doctor story we saw, but he had other adventures.

    We never saw him regenerate into Eccleston, so we have no idea how old he looked at the time. For all we know centuries passed between the movie and new series (and it's well established that the Doctor is lying about his age).
