Canon is purple-on-purple, and as far as I know has always been.
For reference, Puppet Master Dominic, Lord Dominus, and He-Dom.
Also, Hey-look-at-that-I-guess-it-did-affect-him-at-one-point Dominic. I think Mookie didn't color anything before Storm of Souls, so I didn't look further back in the archives.
