There is little blood to be had, unfortunately. The toxin, though? That's quite effective. More effective than any other type of poison; his undead physiology can ignore those without difficulty.

Mateo tries to lurch himself forward, using the creature gripping his leg as a pivot to escape from the one trying to hamstring him. If the move is successful, Mateo will wind up lying on his front and apparently hampered that way. That won't work as the hamstringer is the one wrapped around his leg. The toxic sliver is successful, though Mateo's unconcerned, for now anyway. The dazed vampiric sliver is Mateo's more immediate worry- whilst it's harmless for now, it won't be soon. So Mateo will do something about that- he moves his arm closer and bites at it, trying to return the favour and slurp its blood until it's dry. Unless the blood starts rotting his face off, anyway. This might have the added benefit of helping Mateo recover from his wounds as the blood is converted to fresh, healthy tissue- notably, around the bite taken from his arm and his crippled leg, though Mateo tries concentrating it on his leg. It'd be more successful if the slivers were humanoid, but Mateo's used to using the blood of animals after particularly challenging fights.

The vampiric sliver's blood is thick, brown, and full of disease, but it is in fact blood, and will work to fuel Mateo's regeneration. However, it will take quite a while to drain it entirely of blood, as the substance moves sluggishly at best. It doesn't intend to go down quietly either, recovering from its reeling and lashing out at Mateo's stomach with its bony claws, trying to make a new pair of wounds through his intestines.

The other continues slashing at his legs, trying to make as many rotting wounds as possible when it see that he's healing from the first. It's swinging erratically though.

Yellow KNEW there was something wrong with these things! They might have looked like humans, but they certainly aren't! When the Hermit splits the yoshi uses the momentum he still has to drop into a roll, bouncing back to his feet again some distance forward. If the Manic had aimed at where Yellow was that might make pouncing him a little harder.

Now they're all doing that double image thing. Just like those stupid Magi-Koopas. Well! This yoshi knows one way to deal with that trick!

With a "bNOM!" Yellow lashes out his tongue at the leaping Manic in a bid to nom him to death!. Should the tongue hit anything solid it'll quickly yank the poor creature into Yellow's mouth for swallowing.

And of course anything swallowed by a yoshi has its bio-mass absorbed in a fraction of a second. Getting eaten is almost certain death.

HOWEVER!

If the tongue attack fails Manic's assault will strike true, bowling Yellow over backwards and wrapping a pair of tails around his neck. Though the claw attacks will be blocked by Yellow's Buzzy Bracers as he brings them up to guard his head.

The attack is partially successful, because as the tongue lashes out the manic sliver splits further, letting the tongue hit and pass through one version of itself and then having the other carry onwards to the yoshi's neck where it will wrap its tails around it at last. However, with the tongue in easy reach the sliver makes the mistake of trying to slash at that instead, most likely getting caught by the sticky thing after all.

The yoshi can try to reel it in, but whether or not that's possible with the tails around its neck remains to be seen.

The wooden one ducks low, slithering forward and trying to get level with the yoshi's belly and looking for any joints in the armor it can stab at. If there's nothing else, it will go for the inventory belt, trying to cut the strap with a quick slice.

The oily one lays there, being defended by the waxy one while she recovers. It seems hunting in twos is their preferred style.
