Anyway, as expected, Gordon follows up with a tail swipe. Apparently having guessed this was coming next, the creature leaps over the tail, rolling clear and breaking up into a run, turning once he's got out of melee range of the dragon. "Sss...ssome dragon you are. Ssso sslow, sso predictable."
You would think so, but that would be wrong. The right kind of materials can be very useful for that purpose. Orichalcum, in this case, specially treated and colored.

"Slow, perhaps. Predictable, not so much."

Gordon turns his head to keep an eye on the creature, while preparing a spell. He's not that good of a magician, especially when its not relating to electricity.
