Tel'vree Manor

Telly shivered in the cold air as she drew the series of Circles on the ground in the basement lab that Cessie normally used when she wasn't pregnant. Telly wish she could have put on some clothing to warm herself up, but Nega had informed her that she couldn't wear any clothing during it. The god hadn't mentioned if that had meant during the preparations or not, but Telly had to assume so, just in case, and that meant she was quite chilly at the moment.

As she worked with the chalk, drawing the symbols needed around the various Focii, Cessie sat nearby in a chair they had moved down here to help ease her feet from having to stand around so much while this far along in term. "You don't have to do this." Cessie told her with a small smile, already knowing the answer as she got to her feet to head to the little circle Telly had made for her. Telly just smiles back and gives her an appreciative look before finishing and standing in the center.

Off to her right were three objects representing her old life. A vial of her tainted blood, a pile of "Haze", and bottle of perfume. Telly had been a hard drug user before she had met Cessie, and even after all this time she could feel the physical pangs of withdrawal whenever she glanced at the numbing drug. The perfume had been a cheap one that the prostitutes in the slums had found to be popular, but it stung her sensitive nose and nearly made her wretch when she caught a whiff of it the first time. As for the blood...

At this point, Telly couldn't consider herself human. She had changed so much over the years as Chaos overtook her body and soul, and finally after all this time, she was seeking help. Not for herself, but for her Cessie. Her love.

"You know I have to." She says gently before finishing the circle around Cessie, the object that would portray the new life Telly wished to lead. Looking up from the center of the circle, she could feel a pair of presences watching over her. One of them, Slaanesh, felt closer than the other, but with a silent prayer to Nega, she spoke. "I am ready."

For a brief moment, there's complete silence, but then Telly gasps as she feels power both flowing out and into her. Even though she was used to agony, this hurt deeper than mere physical pain. She could feel the Kami flooding into her, tearing out the taint of her soul to let it regrow anew and pure. She could feel the anger of Slaanesh striking at her, attempting to leave a permanent mark upon her even as Nega fought to gain control of Telly's soul. Before Cessie's eyes, the cultist begins to change.

Her skin fades from lavender to a pale and sickly white, blotchy from exposure to acidic rains, and her hair loses it's lustrous shine as dull gray grows within it. Her tail and short horns both turn dull gray before fading away, leaving raw flesh behind to heal over when possible.

All of this happens within just a couple moments, but in the end, Telly can only feel one entity left. With a breath of relief, she feels better when she learns that it's Nega who stayed and was victorious, but Telly collapses to her knees in exhaustion anyway. Cessie gets to her knees to hold the fragile woman in her arms, letting her lover weep into her dress.

For the first time in a very long time, Telly felt mortal and it scared the daylights out of her.
