Only the massive redo when you look at your old work and feel that it's completely unusable.

You know, I've never actually done this. 90% of the time I won't even go back and look at my own work beyond basic typo proofreading and a pass to make sure my characters sound like distinct individuals. Once I've written it, and especially posted it somewhere, I consider it locked in stone and I'd much rather invest the extra energy fixing something in a future chapter than go back and modify it. Not sure if that's a great strength or a great weakness.
