This plague reanimates the dead...so why have we seen no children under its influence? Mayhaps the disease affects them differently, merely killing children outright. Or, perhaps their weaker physical nature means that any children infected have already been commited to the grave once more."

The old man breathes a sigh, shaking his head. "Every moment in this place seems to raise more questions, with few answers forthcoming. Regardless, let us not tarry here. We should hurry back to the inn, and then continue our exploration while we can."
