Setting up a server is like putting together a game: It's about putting obstacles in front of the player, not taking them away. Of course, they need to be the right obstacles, and in some areas (particularly UI and control schemes) it really is about player convenience and ease of use, but in general you're trying to make things more difficult, not less.

It's the same reason that not everyone is able to spawn blocks, for example.
