Again, being asexual doesn't mean you don't want a partner, or romance and love. Just that sex in particular doesn't hold much interest (or might possibly even be unpleasant, I guess)

I think it is very few people (and ponies) indeed who genuinely wouldn't like to have someone close to share their life with. Someone perhaps a little closer than a friend.

Being a bachelor isn't bad per se, of course, but I can tell you it gets lonely in the long run. I don't think a lot of people decide to be alone all their life, if they have a choice.
