Misti's inquiry seems to draw Cael more fully into the moment, but his only answer is a polite, yet firm smile. "Have a good day, Ms. Marva," he says, turning to leave. "We'll speak soon, I'm sure."

The very moment Cael is back out on the street, his smile vanishes and pace quickens as he makes his way toward Ravendark Castle.
