As for character's talking back, I've never had that happen, I just start writing a scene and suddenly they are doing things OTHER than what I wanted them to do....

I've actually found it really interesting, working on a webcomic with an artist, things tend to ... change a little, between script and comic sometimes, and the artist doesn't see the change all the time, but it always WORKS. It's like the characters are talking back to the both of us!

The worst thing is when the plot and the characters suddenly tell you 'Hey, that character you love? Needs to die.'
