((That was the plan. XD))
Squinting a little at the selected sketch, Dive Bomb marked it with his hoof and turned to his saddlebag to pull out a short, well used pencil. He took the opportunity to double check and secure his bits bag before nodding a welcome to Soot. A hint of red swam in his cheeks under Cork's compliment, and he nodded his assent.
Pony proportions, he thought to himself as he lightly drew a pony shape on a new page. Two circles became a body, a third ovoid became the outline of a head. His brow furrowed as he drew some legs, and then began to erase sections to make holes. A small bent triangle became a tail of sorts. I can never get the eyes, he thought, ill content with with how they came out. All in all, it could have been worse. The wings were the easy part, though not like his own; all he needed were a pair of ovals, veined and choppy at the edges. He bent closer to the paper to dot a pair of triangles on the upper jaw, and a spiky fin on the neck. The last item was a unicorn horn, rapidly erased and redrawn to be more curved and pointy.
He drew back and critiqued his drawing. It was crude and sketchy; he'd need to refine it later on after he got this mare's input, and perhaps ink the lines. "How about now?"
