I hope that's all it is. The MLP trailers/promos I've watched in the past were never noticeably off. Or maybe I'm just taking this too seriously now.

They might have recorded in a different location, or remastered it differently as well. It's still clearly the same people, but it's hard to be perfectly consistent over several years.
