"Perhaps we could try an alternative method. The goblins were aggressive and violent and the mother bear wasn't going to allow them here threatening her cubs. If someone can calm her enough, maybe even convince the mother we mean her and her cubs no harm, perhaps, at least for the night, we can share the cave with them. If it comes to it though, our needs are greater than hers. We can try moving the cubs to the entrance and hope the mother takes them and leaves. But we have to be prepared to fight her."
