Well it is not like Rein has a bazillion plot clones to get to.

Rein on the other hand feels as if there has been a weight lifted from his chest despite Kitty's presence there. He falls asleep shortly after her. He does wake before her and seriously considers trying to slip out while she is still out of it, but eventually decides against it, if for no other reason than they both live at the camp. So he stays in bed half awake until Kitty wakes.
