thinking about it. since you aren't in the development side it would be classed as a beta. regardless of it's production state

Actually, writers use terms like alpha readers and beta readers for people they have read their stories and give them feedback. Alpha readers are first, then beta readers. For me, my alpha readers are my writing group.
