"Thing is, why start off huge?" she asked, "food first, then shelter, then wealth and influence; start off with the local S&M scene, if there even is one in Havensworth, and see if it's workable. I mean, how are you actually going to collect the goods? Do it yourself? If yes, you might get caught. If no, then someone has to do it for you, which means someone knows what's going on. Once you figure out a good system, then you can expand to include discreet clientele, know what I mean?"
