Not trying to rub this in your face, I'm just pointing this out.

"Evocation

Spells that manipulate energy or create something from nothing. An evocation specialist is called an evoker."

"Necromancy

Spells that manipulate, create, or destroy life or life force. A necromancy specialist is called a necromancer."

First one is explicitly called out as violating that rule of physics. The other one equally so, if you consider life force to be energy. If you don't, then I guess she hasn't broken that law of physics, since what Simmer was could easily be argued to be life force.

I know, and I frankly don't care. It breaks my immersion. Besides, as far as I'm concerned, that's an example of an unreliable narrator suffering the ignorance of its time, namely, "If I can't see it, it doesn't exist." Therefore thinking that just because it cannot see where the energy is coming from means that it must be coming from nothing.

(Note: Narrator is referring to the person who wrote those descriptions, and not Becca.)
