Minami

The sun is up, but the fog is thick in the village hidden in the marsh. It seems like a typical enough day for Minami. Grandpa offered to meet her later to discuss her own promotion to Genin - Yamanaka-sensei's done her best to drill the fear of the field into her, but sooner or later she'll have to admit she's responsible enough to be a real ninja after all. The White Captain was always so strict on making sure the girl learned of the horrors of war, aiming to make her able not freeze in fear, and able to run away when victory was impossible.

It was quite the show Yamanaka put on yesterday; she had a bit more of a trial planned, she would disclose to her young apprentice, but changed plans when Rikku decided to interfere. She plucked just 3 genin out of the entire class and is out of town on their first mission, leaving the young Aburame to her own devices around the hospital. During her routine rounds with the other interns, as she passes by a window, she sees through the mist a figure just outside the hospital grounds collapse. As her eyes adapt to the mist, she sees they seem to be wearing a bulky marsh-nin uniform and are crawling, still trying to press on, crawling through the early-morning muck as they leave a trail of blood. No one else seems to have noticed the injured person.

If approached, you find a young woman only a few feet closer to the hospital than when she was first spotted, breathing erratically and hugging at a wound that remains hidden as she lays on her belly, save for the blood. She barely seems conscious, taking a good few seconds to recognise you as someone who can help, panic in her eyes. "Please... the... White... Captain..." The White Captain was Yamanaka's common title
