Given the fickle nature of nobility, might not be the worst idea.

And so, the train pulls into the station and the locks on their car's door magically unlock. A quick push later, and they'd find themselves at a small boarding platform, way out in the Equestrian countryside. In stark contrast to the hustle and bustle of the Canterlot station, the grand majority of ponies they can spy are workers, steadily unloading cargo onto waiting trollies. A few travelers disembark, but only a few. The platform itself is dull, cracking, and generally bland. Apparently they didn't have time to clean the red carpet, much less roll it out.

A welcoming committee, however, is a different story. A silver-coated earth pony, dressed in a well-pressed and tidy suit, stands tapping his hoof at the platform entrance, flanked by two of the largest earth ponies any of the three had ever seen. Both were clad in light padded leather, emblazoned with the seal of House Stoutheart. One of them chewed upon a stalk of wheat, grinding it into dust between his tombstone teeth. As soon as they came into sight, the silver-coated earth pony quickly trotted towards them with purpose, stopping only to give a short bow. "Welcome t'Kenbucky, travelers. Might ya'll three be the team from Canterlot?" he asked, polite but terse.
"Absolutely!" Glory gave a low bow to the new pony. "Lord Golden Glory of Lightfoot, here for the investigations. My companions are Miss Riposte and Miss Solar Eclipse. And who might you be?"

He took a moment to look around, as in getting around to looking around took a moment in his bleary state. A little shoddy here, it seems. Perhaps I could give some tips on how to make it nicer.
