Killian pulls the blade out of Marcus' side and returns to a combative stance, ready to continue the fight. Stale, unused blood trickles out from Marcus' new wound.
In fury, the creature strikes back with his bone sword. Killian's guide was correct in that Marcus is a fast combatant.
I can ignore the first hit and block the second, but I'm staggered by the third. A couple more hits like that, and I could be down for the count. I take a moment to recuperate before pressing the assault; I step back and say "Lay on Hands" to regain some energy. But I can't give him any time to recover, so I charge towards him with another attack.
