Living behind locked doors probably isn't uncommon in a place like Riverside, nor are shut-ins who don't ever say a word to anyone. In the case of Jacob, however, such behavior is most unusual. Despite the peculiarity, such has been his life for the past three weeks, though not for lack of trying.
