    Lumpy reorients himself, picking his flail up from the ground. If he is surprised to see a super-sized Tiriel, he doesn't show it.

    Strength surges through Tiriel's body as she continues to pin the demon up against a tree trunk. Though her fingers tighten around its throat, the demon doesn't seem to be suffocating. Do demons breathe? she wonders. It occurs to her that the "choking" noises might be its attempts to speak.
